20 to 4 free kicks.

Geelong 4 free kicks were:

  • out of bounds on the full
  • insufficient attempt (out of bounds)
  • free kick that then got reversed
  • ?? I don’t know the first free kick

So basically maybe 1 free kick from an ump decision. Hard to believe that for 120 minutes that not one single saints player gave away a free kick

Got any footage of the ones they missed?

Out of bounds on the full I thought didn’t count as a “free kick” in the stats.

There would have been another free kick.
Interesting question. I don't think it does, or that it should. I would count that as a skill error, rather than an infringement.

It's a grey area, because you could make that argument for numerous things. Some insufficient intent calls are clearly skill errors, where it's come off the side of the boot, or even down to chance, where the ball bounces 90 degrees and goes out.
You could argue that some high contact frees are skill error, where the player applies poor technique or misjudges the contact.

Maybe on the full should be counted as a free. Any turnover resulting from the breaking of a rule = free kick. Helps to clear up some of the grey at least.
