From what I saw, his skills are very raw.
Was being schooled one on one on how to time his mark to be at the top of his leap.

His short kicking was woeful.

Doing 2019 version of circle work, he moved very well across the ground missed a long pass, but next time marked ran and hit pass lace out.

A lot to work.on.

In the debate as to who will be our main ruckman in the future, one who is not getting mentioned is Max King. At 204 and still growing, he has to be considered as a future ruckman surely.

honestly its not a huge deal if he can kick ... look at sandy for freo .. his job is tobe tall and tap the ball to our advantage .. also helps to have him float to the backline to give arieal support and float forward just to give panic to the defenders ...
the boy is as big as they come and he can cover the ground we dont need him hitting pin point passes just keep it simple and get him to do the things no-one else on the team can do

Surely this is right, bb. We have McCartin, Bruce, Membrey, Battle and Marshall as tall forward options. The ruck is where the cupboard is bare. Unless by some miracle, Longer and Pierve improve by 100%, I believe it will be King and Alabakis who will carry us forward. It will take time, unfortunately.

King has the potential to do for rucking in the game that the likes of Ditterich, Moore and Simon Madden did. A new generation of super tall, athletic and highly skilled ruckman who are literally an extra midfielder, who can also be a weapon as a tall forward. King will turn out to be a much better version of Spida. That's exciting. The boy's a freak.

How long was Cox in the Collingwood VFL team before he came good?

He first played Australian rules football in April 2014 before making his AFL debut just two years later in April 2016.

Guess he only really came good last year (as in an important player for them playing 24 games).

So 4 years total development, with the last 2 (16,17) in and out the side (11 games and then 9 games).

Based on Mason, Sam will play in a grand final for us in 2023.

I wouldn't enter a Rolls Royce into a smash up derby.

This guy is certainly a big boy , hopefully he can cut it.
There is going to be pressure on Longer , Pierce next year due the fact we will have Bigbou who is in our academy , Alabakis , Marshall and King running around
Pirece and Longer only have one year contracts , so it should make them hungry.

Just hope Longer can show us his worth this year - we need one of them too
