Uncontacted at years end and is a developing tall forward who showed a real glimpse of his potential in last years finals series.

21 year old whos played 21 games for 17 games.

Whats he worth?

"Lost" - you sold someone else a lemon.

Looked a much better team without him last year too
Cut it up whichever way you like we still lost a quality key forward. Going home was probably the worst thing for his footy career but if he gets things right he’s one of the best key forward around.

What the **** kind of thread is this? One of the last players we'd be likely to trade, and can't see any reason he'd want to leave either given he's from Melbourne. Will be a one club player.

I think we'll defo have him at least until the point he becomes an FA. Then he may pick to go to the Pies.
Why would he? By that time he’d be an 8 year Melbourne player, he’d have his own personal friends at the club, He’s already a finals player, and creating his own legacy at Melbourne. He’d be well and truly entrenched at Melbourne by then which he probably is right now, he wouldn’t give up on he’s doing at Melbourne because his grandad played at another club 60 years ago.

Players don’t leave clubs to play for their childhood team they supported. They really only leave for go home reasons or better opportunities.

Yep. Can count on one hand the number of clear best-22 players of Victorian origin who’ve moved from one Melbourne club to another in the last 15 years. It never happens.

A thread about an uncontracted player.. never said i wanted him traded did i?

Just interested what the general public think hes worth. My opinion? Hes worth a mid to late 1st rounder.

I expect a contract extension come mid year.

Wants $700k a year from Melbourne for next contract according to Age podcast. Played one good game?
If he had a crap year and clubs wanted to speculate, he may leave for cash. But highly doubt he'd leave considering Melbourne just traded Hogan

IMO unless he really smashes it this year he'll probably sign a short term deal on medium wage - say $900k over two years - before seeking a bigger one later on. If he really breaks out could shop himself around for a high price. Not seeming likely so far.

He'd get it from North Melbourne.

Use of italics really took this highly original thought to a new level, champ. Well done.

I guess negotiations have to start somewhere. But he’s going to want to put a few more goals on the board for that coin.
Whaddya mean, he's kicked twice as many goals this year as our number one KPF :P
