Thommo's already not a one club player...

Well that's why I said he won't be a 1 club player. That was the distinction between him and rutten and the foundation of the different treatment viewpoint. I'd force thommo into a trade but I wouldn't with truck. And the loyal club servant card that truck has is the reason why. Plus, he doesn't jump on people's backs when they're already on the ground.

Nah, Thommo would be worth their 2nd and 3rd surely without needing the exchange.

So basically,

Thommo - Pick 19 and 37
Pick 19 and Dmac to any of the average performing Vic clubs and BAM!! we're in the first round!

......too early???

No chance Thommo is worth a second rounder on its own let alone a second and third. Best you would get for him is a third rounder, considering he is at the end of his career.

He is a free agent, so were looking at compensation picks.

D. Pearce got Port a 2nd round, I'm sure Scott Thompson us superior to him and should demand a end of 1st round compensation pick.

We won't trade him. No need. If he leaves, it will be via free agency.

Thommo won't be traded, his value elsewhere way less than hi value to us. Plus he deserves respect, some people have short memories.

Agreed. I have also noticed in a lot of the player interviews that much of the team lookup the Thompson, he is a role model both on the field and physically. May be a blow to the players and moral if he were to be traded.

Hawthorn gave up pick 27 for Brian Lake. That said, Thompson is a restricted free agent, so if a team wants him badly enough, they'll offer him a big one or two year deal, and if he wants to leave, he'll take it.

How would you know if Camporeale was any good or not? You've probably just made up your mind that you don't like him and you're sticking to that.

Danger, Sloane & Crouch all specifically credit Campo with their development. What basis?

He may be a good one on one coach but his systems and gameday work is below par in my opinion.

Didak - body looks shot, Callinan is better anyway
Enright - surely wouldn't leave Geelong at this stage
Stokes - would be a nice get. Breaks lines and kicks goals. Slight query over his finals record but would add some much needed pace.
Davey - very gettable especially with the Bailey link. With Johncock and probably Callinan leaving, he could fill a need for us. Risky though given his form this year.
Kornes - doubt he'd leave Port
Ebert - nah, his body is shot. Wouldn't leave Port anyway.
Cooney - do we need him when we've got Crouch coming through?

I will set fire to myself if we consider either Matt Thomas or Tom Logan.

You forgot Colin Sylvia. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

I remember everybody wanting Campo's head when Craig was senior coach. last year under Sando and Bailey's guidance Campo received praise for what he had done with the midfield. This year No Bailey and our midfield is back to being crap. Lots of difference between this year and last. Main difference: NO BAILEY. Hence Campo very average coach.

Compensation picks will be lower this year.

Thommo should be kept as we couldn't get any decent value for him through Compo picks.

Not sure what part of South Australia Bendigo is in?

My Grandma lives in Bendigo (so that is where my mother was born) I can assure that Bendigo resembles the North Suburbs of Adelaide quite significantly.

I mean that there is a lot of English migrants and large discount department stores. (truth be told Bendigo is a beautiful city)

It is indeed. I hate Victoria and all things Victorian, but even I have to admit that Bendigo is a lovely part of Australia.

some of the gold rush buildings are fantastic.

crying shame that the natural aquifers that surround the areas are poisoned with arsenic.
