I'm going to sound petty and vengeful, but I don't want an orderly handover from chapman to the next chairman. It's his leadership that brought us to this point and the idea that he leaves during our rebuild stage, where others have made the hard calls that he's incapable off, claiming credit for where we are heading is particularly unappealing. I want him gone now, identified as the architect of where we find presently find ourselves and history to not reflect that he had anything to do with our rejuvenation as a club.
But I'm guessing those that are setting the agenda are happy to keep the Lilly-livered, weak as piss figurehead at the moment. I'm loving what I'm seeing and hearing (especially a club wide refresh), so I'll back them as I'm sure they are happy doing the real work while he fronts the media. Butt it's gonna shit me when he leaves in 18 months and we're on track and he says something like we're in a good place, on an upward trajectory so it's time to kick back and let the new generation in to lead. To borrow a chapmanism, I'll want to crack him.
