3/4 Time Score

Sandy 12 14 86 - Scorpions 9 5 59

Newton has kicked 4, Ferguson and Warnock are both playing well down back whilst Buckley has impressed through the middle.

Ward has apparently torn his thigh.

Final Score

Sandy 21.18.144 Casey Scorpions 10.5.65

Newton finished with 6, all from marks, a chance to play next week?

Ferguson BOG.

Newton in for Jamar. Buckley in for Bate if he doesn't come up.
I think Newton for Garland would be more realistic, not that I'd necessarily agree with it.

Neaves was apparently pretty good in the ruck, so perhaps he could replace Jamar.

Play PJ as the backup ruckman and Fergeson down back if we need to. Carroll can take Damon White and Rivers Tredrea. Give Jared some experience playing on the opposition's best tall and now is a good chance because Warren hasn't found full form yet.

Play Newton up forward and Garland on the wing. It couldn't hurt.

Tredrea did show a bit against the Saints, but I would play Rivers on him. Rivers needs to pick up whoever plays CHF, no matter who it is, instead of playing on a weak forward and zoning off. He has the capability to both zone off and keep his opponent quiet.
I'm loath on playing Fergy, he is far too weak at times and gets pushed off it so easily.

If he was to play on the number one forward, it would take away from his ability to zone off. I think we should start Carroll on Tredrea, and Rivers on White. If it's not working, then we can change.

Ferg needs to be given a long sustained run in the team, if he fails then thats it and fair enough, he can't keep dominating at VFL then struggling for one week. Simpson from the blues was just the same a couple of years ago, he would tear up the VFL then look weak and not up to it, once he played a few in a row he started to know his place.

My early changes based on this
Out: Bate, Garland, Jamar, N. Brown
In: Newton, Ferguson, Buckley, Green

B: Bell Carroll Rivers
HB: Petterd Ferg C. Johnson (love this young backline, no more dead weight in Ward, Wheatley, Holland, Bizzel or Brown)
C: Moloney Bruce Green
HF: Pickett Miller Yze
F: Newton Dunn Davey (young talls and skilled little men)
Foll: White MacDonald Johnstone
Int: P. Johnson Sylvia Godfrey Buckley

Best defender takes the best forward. The CHB takes the CHF.
ND has to play Rivers on the gun CHF's if he is to progress as a player.

Neitz will also be back you would think. Plus just after brock did his foot the website said he would only miss 4 weeks, so he should be very close for this game as well

Yep Neitz in Buckley in the VFL for one more week, Brock is still a couple off but rumour is Jones is going ok, Bate should be even if his injury is not bad.
