Saturday July 12
Central v Port (Elizabeth)

• Rookie James Moss is the lone Crow in action as he lines up for the Dogs after a strong showing last week. Despite being named on an extended bench, you would exepect him to play.

West v Glenelg (Richmond)

• Brad Moran will be in action for West while James “4 possessions” Sellar will again share time between ruck and forward. Rookie Ed Curnow remains on thin ice in the reserves. Obviously getting a league game will be tough but his reserves form needs to improve.

Norwood v North (Norwood) ABC TV

• Gun young forward Taylor Walker will play up forward for Norwood as Adelaide are scared of fulfilling their promise of rebuilding. Meanwhile defender and future Olympic sprinter Aaron Kite will play in defence. Luke Jericho will be hoping to show more desire this week as he plays for his adopted SANFL club. For North Greg Gallman is once again named at FB while Nick Gill is named up forward. Tony Armstrong is starting to wish he wasn’t claimed by North as he is named on the wing in the reserves.

Sunday July 13
Sturt v South (Murray Bridge)

• Murray Bridge is the setting for David Mackay’s awesomeness for South. Andy Otten will also play for the Panthers and for Sturt rookie Brodie Martin should hold his place in the league side after an encouraging debut.

(Eagles Bye)

West v Glenelg (Richmond)

• Brad Moran will be in action for West while James “4 possessions” Sellar will again share time between ruck and forward. Rookie Ed Curnow remains on thin ice in the reserves. Obviously getting a league game will be tough but his reserves form needs to improve.

Not to mention a fair portion of time examining the splinters on the pine:thumbsd:! Just drop him already!

Looking forward to watching the North Norwood game when I get back from Melbourne, anyone else expecting to see Gallman Vs. Walker? Will be a good matchup:thumbsu:

Otten will be the travelling emergency, so I guess they'll have him on the next flight home Saturday.

Why did North even pick Armstrong up? They've got an abundance of his type. I appreciate that they had a late pick, and went for what they believed to be best available, but Kite, who would be very very handy right now, was still there, as were Dangerfield and Boyle, who are probably closer to what North need than Armstrong. He doesn't look like getting a seniors run. I'm not suggesting he should be a lock for a league spot - he's clearly been very inconsistent - but at least throw him on an extended bench or something after a very good game last week.
Work on Satdy arvos stops me from getting to many Roosters games, but I'm hoping to get along to the game against the Eagles next weekend, and I'd love to see Tony in action.

i must admit, id rather see sellar play in the ressies.. atleast then he'll be getting a full game hopefully up forward and if he doesnt start carving it up within the next few weeks he has some major problems

Norwood up 12 goals to 1 over Norfski at half time. Wonder how many Tex has.

Glenelg up 2 goals to 1 at Richmond, at HT. Thinking it's a mud bog.

Walker has 3. Played well. Gill, not really sighted too much. Kite, very very sloppy.

Cant belive how far North have dropped this year.

Make that 4 to half time. All kicked in the 2nd quarter. Couple of excellent crumbing goals

Taylor has 5 at 3/4 time.

We've lost about the only bloke who can kick a ####ing goal. And we can't kick one anyway.

He's quite brilliant. Had some great assists so far as well.

Time to bite the bullet. Stop holding him back. Haven't won in 4. Don't look like. It's time. Do it.

I have to head off immediately so only a short recap for now, will expand later.

Kite sloppy? Pretty good game I felt, sure made the odd error but did well in defence.

Walker kicked 5 and had another 4-5 goal assists. All class.

Jericho okay, nothing special.

Armstrong, we have a player here. Will take a LOT of time, but the end result could be good.

Was at Richmond and saw both the Reserves and League games.

Sellar started and spent a lot of time in the ruck. Was pretty good. Won a lot of hitouts against Neaves who is quite solid. Moved forward in the 2nd half and kicked a couple of goals. He also spent brief periods in defence. I reckon he may have had 20+ touches, around 15-20 hitouts. Curnow was pretty good also, probably 20+ possessions for him too. Used the footy pretty well.

As for league, Moran took a few strong marks and kicked a goal late the game. Had some poor passages though, caught holding the ball on one occasion that sent the West faithful into a frenzy. I think he will struggle if he were to come up to AFL level at the moment.
