Round 20 Fixture:

Saturday 18th August
Port v Sturt @ Alberton
Eagles v North @ Woodville (ABC TV)
Norwood v West @ Norwood
Central v South @ Elizabeth

Glenelg bye

• The omitted Ivan Maric will lead the ruck for the Magpies.

• For North Adelaide Ian Perrie is listed at FF and Andrew McIntyre at FB. Rookie Greg Gallman is named on the wing in the reserves.

Bryce Campbell is the lone Crow in action at the Parade. The punters are remarkably backing West now that Meesen has been taken by the Crows.

• And at Elizabeth Jon Griffin will lead the ruck for the Dogs and rookie James Turner is named on the HBF for South.

I was wondering when this thread would show up. Due to the delay i naturally assumed all SANFL matches were cancelled as Meese is no longer playing in that competition:D:thumbsu:

Is my man Jimmy playing for anyone this w/e?

I highly doubt it. Even though Glenelg has the bye, I doubt the Crows would make Sellar play in Westies Reserves as there is no way he will debut in AFL this year.

Is K-Mac playing for WWT this week or was his naming in the Crows 25 just a ruse????

Even if he is not going to play on Sunday, surely the Crows won't let him play for the Eagles. They will need to keep their options open, unlike Port Power who stuffed up a few weeks ago when Dean Bogan injured himself in the warm up and they had noone on standby.

Did no one watch today’s game? I hear Perrie was useless; RoosterLad should be able to confirm or deny that. First news I have is that Luke Jericho didn’t play so I wonder if butter boy will be playing yet again tomorrow night.

Bryce Campbell had an interesting day. For some reason he was on and off the bench, possibly to do with the fact West were targeting him all day long. Right from the outset they were getting stuck into him and giving elbows and jumper punches. The tactics were quit dirty and Bryce really had a tough time of it today; he was made to earn every possession that’s for sure. He played on the ball and across HFF and he was quiet early but became more influential as the game wore on. But just as he started finding the ball he seemed to come off so he couldn’t get much momentum going.

But there is no doubt West had it in for him today and he received a number of cheap shots. But he was too good in the end and he kicked 2 goals in the last term to go with 20+ possessions. He got better as the game wore on and he played about 65% of the game and copped just as many knocks.

Jericho not fronting up probably indicates Welsh is out. Can't say that was surprising.

I only caught the last term of the North v LPR game.

Vince was classy as usual although he missed a pretty gettable goal. Kenny was alright, set one up and kicked a crucial goal.

Perrie, what can you say...... thought he was hopeless.

Like I say, Perrie was gifted games for the AFC, our forward line is pathetic therefore he's needed to fill gaps. He was pathetic against Geelong last year, I really hope he gets delisted, along with Doughty etc.

Time to get rid of the no hopers. Still a joke that Pfeiffer can't play this week :thumbsd:, he could have played for AFC this week at least.

I watched the second half. Vince did get a few touches but he didnt hurt the Roosters as much as he should have. Burnt the ball a bit and should have slotted a goal.

McGregor was the standout Crows player. He was superb today - great tackles, strong marks and kicked goals under pressure to help set up a win for the Eagles. Everytime Kenny got near the ball good things happened for the Eags. Showed Perrie how it should be done.

Any word on Weekend's stats?

Also just on Welsh....disappointing. Not because he could be out, but because his replacement doesn't have the application to give us anything more. :thumbsd:

Watched the Roosters v Eagles match. Great game, but ruined by some shocking umpiring decisions in the last qtr against North. It was like watching us getting stitched up by the umps in the AFL. Holding the bal, which they never pay in teh SANFL all of a sudden was being paid like they do in the AFL.

As for the crows players. Perrie should never play AFL again, is actually probably hidering North. McGregor was Ok, but not that great. The fact he can't kick 50m is a huge concern. Kicks with a bent leg and just can't get his leg high at all. I thought Vince, although not hugely influential was clearly the class player out there.

Ben Hart went alright too, maybe he is a chance next week :D
