Doomben race 2: Puss in Boots: Nice little two year old filly, leading up to run in the magic mill 2yr race. Solid win last start in similar company. Carries 57kg but drawn nicely. Has a temperamant but should win.

Doomben Race 4: Sweet As: Three year old filly heading to Mag Mill 3yr race. Ran on fair last start for 5th with the colts and geldings. Ran 4th in last years Queensland oaks and stable has big opinion. Weaker company this time round might get some value.

Doomben race 7: Natural Destiny: Should continue with it's winning ways. Looks hard to beat after burning similar feild last two outings. Will be short.

Race 8 - #7 - Maiden Voyage

Natural destiny, probably the most interesting run of the day.
As good as Gold Edition probably better imo.
Goes up in distance and will start around the 2/1 mark only because of the distance.

Step up in distance shouldn't be a problem but will be interesting to see...

Probably somewhere in between around 2.50.
TAB has fixed odds on the race and was 2+ yesterday into 1.8 now.
You should be able to get better than that on raceday, people will take it on and hope it hits a wall at the 1500 which could happen.

Step up in distance shouldn't be a problem but will be interesting to see...

I think the problem will be the 58kg barrier 10 and the step up in distance, thus should start @ 2.5+

trainer thinks he can run in the cox plate, so you wouldnt think the mile would be a problem.

A few queries on this horse, jumps up the 250 metres... puts on an extra 2.5kg from last start and 4.5kg from the start prior.... Has won with the the weight before and from this barrier and worst... Even though there aint much opposoition.. still at $2 i think i will be out.. even though i have been on it the last two starts....

If it had drawn a barrier,Id be very keen to lay the fave

Im leaning toward laying it anyway if its around $2,it was supposedly a doubt at 1350m.

Also check out the Boxing Day thread for the quality of tips and late mail, and many other threads... I dont get where you are getting this aftertiming from... Did (noptice how i said did and not do - because i gave the game up) you wont me to post everyone of the 25plus bets i laid every saturday... i gave out tips in which i thought were the better the ones or the ones with more value.... 2 starts back ND had the gate against him and therefore there was a querie, how it panned out it was able to cross the field and sit a handy second the whole way... Next race was a 2.5 fav with a rise in distance a weight, still a huge chance but at 2.5 who really wants a tip....

Yet now after we are talking about a horse i have been following (including last prep) im not allowed to mention that i did back it two starts prior....

I honestly don't know, 58kg will be tough, i'll probably have a small bet if it's 2.5+ mostly barracking money.
Best horse in race by a mile but over the mile? we'll see..

Can't see anything wrong with what Helmie said anyway, every single one of us has horses who like or favourite horses who we've backed previously but we'll jump off if the odds served up aren't reasonable.

And since when dont i and others talk about losing bets, i've stated many times ive followed many dissapointing horses that have lost me a few quid and so have many others.....

The likes of Thin n Crispy, Niconero, Cargo Cult, Rubijon and many others come to mind

SILENT ECHO in the last at Mornington should be a good E-W bet... This horses last few runs before the spell were pretty good... and hopefully he comes back a better horse.... Record at Mornington is 1/1... Danger obviously is Maiden Voyage but with it being short i think Silent Echo would be the better E-W option... There are no fixed odds for this race, but it is currently showing 15 on tote... Probably wont be anynear near that price but at about 6-7's i would be happy to back it....
