Divine Madonna is way to short, what a joke.. Just because she won the Emirates stakes. Ordinary run at Flemington. Tawqueet will run a massive race in the Underwood.

Will be a massive 24 hours if the Pies get up. Heading out to the track again.
My early thoughts

R1

2 Downhill Racer - Vibe seems to be good coming out of the Hayes camp..has the form against Camarilla etc, won first up, and the good old Willo/Hayes 1st race rule
1 Pit Lane - need a good look at him in this class before REALLY being sure he is a gun.
4 Snip Esprit - Over from SA, saw its last start there, very impressive although not sure what it beat.

R2

8 Surfside Christmas - Form around Tipungwuti/Skiddaw Peak is sensational. Not a real strong race.
6 Gawne - its win here last Spring still sticks in my mind, could pop up again.
9 Bodacious Harmony - seems to be going well with Kavanagh now

R3

6 Amerryking - possible winner in a hard one to pick..at its bets would win. New trainer
7 Amyjaye Power - SA horse who is a perennial placegetter in handy races
15 Seafarer - good win at this track last time out
13 Anna's Choice - threw in as Ive always liked her, will watch betting

R4

10 Gibraltar Campion - would seem the distance will suit, great last run.
7 Bantry Bay - tough competitor
1 Forensics - should be hitting near peak, Ollie back
14 Beaming Bella - ran home well last start, wish she was in a weaker one

R5

7 Marching - made a mental note of its last run. Came home well, dist will suit, Ollie on
1 Shrewd Rhythm - will be back in a big way this week
6 Purrealist - coming along nicely
10 Weekend Hussler - not sure about the distance and backing up

R6

3 Marasco
11 Miss Finland
12 Eskimo Queen
4 Maybe Better

First two seems a flip of the coin - Cox Plate favouritism will ride on this you would think. Eskimo Queen looks a real Cups horse and Maybe Better is due to fire a shot.

R7

4 Divine Madonna
9 Bon Hoffa
2 Niconero
11 Flash Trick
18 Okay Oky

One for the Trifecta

R8

13 Megadeal - runs a good race on this track usually, has form through better sprinters than this
4 Satin Robes - will run top 2 I think
15 Amarezetti - another track lover who usually peaks about this run

R9

4 Maldivian - will need to win this to have the Caulfield Cup still on track
17 Red Lord - if it gets a run watch out, love its breeding and got close enough to Master O at Flem the other week
7 Chiack - very interesting they are running him at this distance. His last run was very good 3 wide all the way, and you never know the distance might bring out his top ability

Good luck!

Sticking with the old rule,Gp race back to a handicap.
Maldivian looks very well suited, none of these would get near Marasco.

Underwood Stakes
The Cox Plate favourites going head to head it should be an interesting two horse race, there's barely a length between them.

The betting is poor with both hotpots so short, deservedly.
Like last week, it's a watch only race.

1000G Prelude:
Thought Tan Tat De Lago might be overs again, as she wasn't one of those Blue Diamond/Golden Slipper horses like others in the field, but she's fav. Think she can do it again, races up the front and there are others that all run on. Gibraltar Campion if she can race closer. Perfect Persuasion at odds?

Guineas Prelude:
If you haven't got on Purrealist for the Guineas yet, do it before tomorrow's race. Even if he doesn't win tomorrow, he'll run a great trial going up to the 1400.

Underwood:
Marasco, but no bet. Annenkov for the trifecta.

Rupert Clarke:
I'm ruling many lines through most of these, which leaves Bon Hoffa, the fav, meh. Would be good to see Wonderful World get back to his best going up to 1400, he loves Caulfield, i might have been tempted to have a bit on if he was longer odds.

Naturalism:
Maldivian, surely.

For what its worth:

Niconero, eachway good odds and a 3rd up winner

Zipanese , big run 1st up and vormista placed in that race, 2nd up winner

Maldivian, close to a cert i suppose ,never beaten 3rd up.

race 1- confidence reef: $15 ( i backed him when he won his 1st start at the valley, he beat sleek chassis and incumbent that night, if he can reproduce that again fresh, he will be hard to beat)

race 2- soleil: $26 ( i think he is overs at that price that is in the herald sun. back to mares grade, she is a huge chance, hard to see missing the top 5)
i wouldnt leave out fidemus:$12 either

race 3: amyjaye power:$12 ( this fella is a real money muncher, but im gunna keep following him, because he will pop up soon and i wont be on him. he flys home and has been placed at the track so each way looks pretty safe. he has only won 2 from 20 which is a worry) i have been on was that you: $17, in its previously two starts but it was too dissapointing last week, so no

race 4: gibralter campion: $5.5 ( hard to believe that tan tat de lago was 40-1 last start and is now fav in this race. good barrier, should be hard to beat)

race 5: playwright: $41 ( i seen this fella win his maiden at ballarat and he beat a real good horse, called pillar of hercules who went onto win at the valley last week. form has held up and he also ran well last start, when beating only 3 lengths behind pins on parade. have to have something each way on him) could be a derby prospect!!

race 6: marasco: $2.5 (usually im all over miss finland but i feel marasco looks the way to go. i was super impressed by his win at flemington, and i dont think caulfield will be a problem, take him one out in the qauddie again)

race 7: blahnik: $51 ( i had a big bet for me last week when i thought he was a good thing in adelaide in a race that didnt look that strong. this was after he beat vormista previously when he was 1st up. i gotta have something on him again each way, he should give a good sight)
bon hoffa: $4.2 who beat fullta by 2.5 lengths at ballarat last year has gone ahead in leaps and bounds do's look extremely hard to beat

race 8: pantenny $26 (honest mare who ran well at the valley, each way all day with her)

race 9: maldivian: $3 ( get on, just wins, better then these horses)

Best for me:
Race 3 No 11 Stanzout

Horse is flying although you wouldn't know it unless you watch replays of it's last two. Almost fallen on both occassions, yet managed to pick itself up & be within the best sprinters in the country at WFA. Connections have run out of patience with Vlad (they had little choice) & Beadman on this is the most signifincant riding changed of the day.
Back into a suitable handicap, only luck can beat him tommorrow.

Looking forward to getting out there. Here's my thoughts:

R1 - Gamble Me
R2 - Surfside Christmas or Joey Jo Jo (need to see the odds)
R3 - Stanzout
R4 - Tan Tat De Lago
R5 - On the Warpath
R6 - Marasco and Miss Finland quinella
R7 - Undue
R8 - Miss Fantabulous (would like to back Miss Judgement but waiting for Flemington with her)
R9 - Maldivian

R1 Pit Lane
R2 Soleil
R3 Stanzout
R4 Gabbidon
R5 Emjay Hussey
R6 Marasco
R7 Bon Hoffa
R8 Pantenny
R9 Maldivian

Racing Double- Bon Hoffa 4.50 into Maldivian 3.20 @ 14.40
Quaddie- Marasco/ Bon Hoffa/ Field/ Maldivian

Good Luck all :thumbsu:

Race 1 Pit Lane
Race 2 (not keen)
Race 3 Stanzout
Race 4 Gibraltar Campion
Race 5 Marching
Race 6 Marasco
Race 7 Okay Oky
Race 8 Miss Judgement
Race 9 Maldivian

Quaddie 3,11/1,4,9,18/4,5,9/4,6,14

good punting all

Caulfield

3-12 Was That You - Looks to be a nice race for him. Only danger IMO is
Stanzout

8-4 Satin Robes - Although I'd be checking if they are running on early in the day before putting too much on

Big Adelaide contingent in too. Best of which looks Snip Esprit in the first.

Morphettville
2-6 Tuscan Sea - Small field will really suit. Seems to always be in trouble and last run was great although in a weaker field. This horse is up to city standard.

6-8 Choice Of Colours - One paced type who will enjoy getting out to the mile

7-1 Viz Vitae - flashed home late in the Balak cup. Extra distance suits although the weight is a concern,

8-8 Hurricane Dancer - Has form around Gunner Tom 2 back and has the weight drop. Thats enough for me.

Echuca

1-7 Ironcat - A former Hayes horse who he has obviously sacked but I saw him on debut where he was unlucky and was caught up in a fall at his 2nd start before being sold on.
