Wether we win tonight or not i never ever want to see Jared Schofield in a dockers guernsey again.
Trial game, regular season or not the guy is flat out hopeless.

It would be good if he retired so as we can promote the Duffman.

Huge turning point at the end of the 2nd Qtr when heard he footsteps and dropped that mark and then proceeded to give away a few free's.

Time to retire with dignity.

That happened right near me.He heard Milburn's footsteps and Geelong got the ball and ran down the ground and goaled [Prismall].

Connolly should've dragged him right then.

Bad luck about tonights result, but it was just a pre-season game so don't be too alarmed with the Dockers fade out in the last quarter.

Schofield did a lot of looking up while his head was over the ball. I gave him the benefit of the doubt the first couple of times saying he was trying to spend it before he had it. The guy next to me reckons he was hearing footseps. Whichever he should have played his last game for freo.
Goodbye Jarrad.

Ps. Up the Duffy:eek: :)

As the BigFooty buddy of Jarrod Schofield it is my duty to defend him.

Jarrod has worked hard all preseason. However this is only the preseason and come the real stuff you can guarantee 100% commitment.

This is only mickey mouse and Jarrad is a required player at freo.

I'm sorry but Connolly has failed his first test .....he still fails to read the state of the game....first he fails to realise that schofield is past it & continues to leave him on when he makes mistake after mistake..hae was shocking last week and continued in this vien( he should be renamed POTHOLE because he's always in the road) AND then in the last quater tonight does not start sandilands in the ruck and longmuir in the forward line ...mate that was bloody DUMB......give us all a break...it was as plain as the nose on your face that we were killing them and getting clean ball when stretch was in the ruck....fail fail fail connolly.....we had a chance to make a grand final (and who gives a toss if it's only a NIGHT final (we need the cash!!).....i worry about our coach...is he related to damion drum (with a silent D!!)

Defend him OR berate him! I guess the latter is too easy!

Schofield adds absolutely nothing to the side. It's no good having great skills if you dont have the ball

I noted with some disappointment that he would still be on the list in 2006, was hoping they found a way out of his contract. I agree with most of the criticism listed posted and would add that he has lost a yard of pace and was not that fast to begin with.

I would much prefer to see McManus out there if they want experience.

Means nothing in the preseason. There are heaps of fresh , fit young blokes trying to impress and get a senior spot who gemerally take the preseason far more seriously.

e.g. How did the Duffman go?

Yeah right. Dockers were missing from their prefered backline; Haddril, Polak, Thornton, Hayden, Walker. Pretty happy with how the backline performed considering, and despite the Cats missing three of their prefered forwards (Kingsley, Playfair, Ottens).

I thought the Dockers played reasonably for three quarters, and lost it badly in the fourth. In particular I thought we were out-coached in the fourth with the move of Milburn and Mooney into the forward line, and the Cats dominance of the fourth quarter centre bounce clearances something we failed to counter. Not trying to let the players of the hook. The Carrs played well, but it was their opponents (I think?) that stung us in the fourth.

Just shows the team what is required, and that top teams do not have lapses which allow the opposition to get clear like that.

Lots of positives. How good is Pav's return? Also, while it didn't turn into scores, loved starting with Sandilands at FF, unsettling the opposition and forcing them to become reactive. I also believe that the skill levels generally have improved significantly over the past 2-3 years.

Gav sums it up quite neatly but it's been way too long that we have been watching three of four quarter performances.

I fon't think CC is to blame. JLo was towelling them up in the rucks. It was the players and their poor skill levels that cost us.

I thought Schofield was atrocious and I take back what I said about him last week.

And I thought Schammer was not far behind him. He had a total of 5 kicks, 4 of which completely missed their target and he was reduced to handballing. Did not lay a single tackle. I was sceptical of Connolly trying to use him to provide drive out of the backline. He's just not skillful enough for that role. And he doesn't offer much else as a backman.
