I think Morrison reads the Australian electorate well. Most Australians think this is a great country and fundamentally like our way of life and do not want drastic change. I think he could of achieved a bit more but the economy is on the right path and Medevac has been repealed.

Then maybe he needs reading lessons, because 60% of Australians approved of medevac.

Not to mention the economy's not on the right path at all according to most economists, and Smokey is sticking his fingers in his ears and going "la-la la surplus la-la la".

I agree that ScoMo has a right to his holiday, and that being physically present may not make any more material difference than having deputies carrying out more tangible help; BUT it is absolutely shocking PR. His PR people need to be sacked. Bill would have been there. Tony would have been there. You betcha Johnny Howard would have been there.

Well he does dismiss climate reports he doesn't like, and likely in denial about increasing severity of future bushfires, thus no long term plan for that. He's promoting the coal industry. He has no appreciation for the sacrifice that volunteers make in fighting these fires. He doesn't have a grasp on the severity of the fires, seeming to either ignore them, or make glib comments about the cricket.
He's not reaching out to world leaders.
He's not highlighting the issue with the presence of his office, setting up or promoting a fund to help the volunteers or others.

Are you really that f***ing stupid? We have a government that in the last seven years has not only ignored climate changes but has actively tried to prevent measures to mitigate it. They are pissing in our pocket and telling us it's raining (or not in most cases) on climate policy.

The oceans of crocodile tears shed about asylum seeker deaths at sea could have put out these bushfires but pointing out government policies are contributing to this is just scoring political points.
