Dont tell me he's a dud coz theres 41 members on this board that'll argue til theyre blue in the face that hes not

far from being a dud

i just don't believe his heart is in the Crows Club

the interview just was not convincing at all

but then again the Power turned the Cornes boys to evil so maybe we can change him

Probably he's found that now he's in Adelaide again, all his old mates are bagging him for choosing the Crows. ;)

after hearing that interview - he's gone after his contract is up - no doubt about it

hopefully we can get a good trade from the Power for him

i didnt get that impression - i actually thought he had aspirations for a leadership role in the future

they asked him a direct question regarding it ? what was he going to say ?
" i hope to play 2 good years with the crows to get my contract value up and be traded to the Power"

saying that i hope i am off because after watching a few melbourne games he is a gun

Well it was pretty common knowledge that as a Port boy Thompson was not that fond of the Crows. I remember someone dragged up an article by Thompson when he was at Melbourne before that finals match in 2002, im sure most remember it.

That being said I would not read too much into the situation. He will settle in at the club and you will be laughing, I did not hear the interview but would be surprised if leaving the club ASAP was the impression he gave.

Spot on.

I didn't hear the interview, but in others that I've seen on telly, he's looked a bit camera and microphone shy, giving the impression that he'd rather be a million miles away from all that stuff.

If you watch him out at training he's happy enough.

Don't lose any sleep about it, Capitalist. He'll be a Crow for the balance of his career.

he might, but i would cry and call him and F******* and lose respect for him, so its his choice.

I heard the interview and while I admit I was distracted intermittently with domestic stuff I heard nothing I'd consider -ve for Crows supporters.
Thompson (ex PAMFC player) could be at Port now had he wanted to be. He could have backed out of his agreement with the Crows before the deal was signed off, when he knew Port were keen. He didn't. Why would he have issues with playing for the Crows now? What exactly are people concerned about from the interview?
I do understand he has some type of injury which he carries over from Melbourne. I don't know if this was discussed during the interview. Ironic if it's long-term, Port may have dodged a bullet there. We took Walsh from the Demons instead, he's been a fine substitute.

I didn't hear all of it, but what I heard didn't give me any worries. Quite the opposite in fact. He felt he had an obligation to Adelaide & honoured it; he can see an opening in the leadership ranks at Adelaide & wants to fill it. That's good stuff.

It will all be just hot air though if he doesn't get his body right.
