Strange to say the least. Why wouldnt they afford him the chance of doing a pre-season, before making the call, defies logic. This announcement has completely eclipsed the feel-good brownlow win for the doggie fans.
The club must have some pretty expert marketers down there. Here they are with 2 and a dog as members and then they do this to a legend?

Wallace would know West's capabilities more than most.

Surely, you could not dissmiss giving him a season at the Tigers??

Even if he drops in ability by 20%, due to age, he'd still be one of the best going around. I'd take him for free. We have more than enough kids in our team.
