I didn't even see it on social media...it was on the mainstream news. Online news websites though...so barely more reputable.

Pork sausage is a staple on pizza where my family is from in Southern Italy.
Try this if you ever make your own..
Italian style pork sausage
Potato
Rosemary
Boconcini cheese
A little tomato paste on the base
Olive oil

And definitely NO PINEAPPLE!

I agree with all of that...except the pineapple bit. There are some pizzas where pineapple is okay.

It works when you need something to contrast a pizza with a lot of heavy ingredients.

Okay, so these are two of my favourite pizza recipes. One has pineapple, one does not.

Firstly:

1. Anchovies
2. Potato
3. Buffalo mozzarella
4. Parmesan
5. Rosemary
6. Olives
7. Red chilli
8. NO SAUCE - just a drizzle of olive oil.

And the other:

1. Pepperoni
2. Jalapenos
3. Pineapple
4. Buffalo mozzarella
5. A nice tomato based sauce.
