Selection 27: Andy Otten;
Selection 28: Maarlon Motlop;
Selection 29: Brendan Whitecross;
Selection 30: Jarhan Jacky.

Which of these players do you think will have the longest and most successful career and why?

Do you think the crows made the right decision to pick Otten ahead of the other 3, and is there much difference between Motlop and Jacky?

Intersted to read peoples thoughts.

From what ive heard, and seen of the guys we've drafted, im over the moon with them.

Otten could be the steal of the draft... apparently has glue hands, and serious leadership potential. Nearly all of the guys we did draft named him as a friend before they came over, thats a good sign to me.

Jacky looks great. Struggled abit with the pace of the first NAB cup match, but he'll get over that. From the few training pieces ive seen, this guy has great awareness and moves brilliantly.

Based on sweet FA, I choose Otten.

Like anyone could seriously predict this ?

According to just about everything Ive read Jacky is a small forward, while Motlop is a small defender. We needed a dangerous small forward, not another HBF (we have that spot pretty well covered). I'm very happy to have got Jacky, even though I think Motlop will be a good player too.

FWIW, I'm extremely happy with Otten. He's going to be a very good player, and fills another specific need of our club.

I guess your just referring ti him spending time at half back in the trial ?

Motlop, 17, became the fifth Territorian on Port Adelaide's list when his name was called out at pick No.28.
<snip>

Capable of playing in the midfield or up forward where his pace and long kicking will be an asset, Motlop will be a new weapon for a Port side still hurting from the record grand final loss to Geelong two months ago.

Using Malibu logic, I'm guessing Jacky may show a bit more earlier, partly due to opportunity, I'm hoping though the Marlon credentials hold true and he does in fact end up being a jet on the ball (from what I've seen his playing style (and shape) resembles Shaun B rather than Daniel).
