Thought he was really good actually?
Forward line looks more balanced with a switched on McAdam in the side as a genuine match winner. We now have far more goal kicking options.

Every single game he gets 'injured'.

I do not believe he somehow gets injured any more than every other AFL player.

In the last quarter before he had that set shot for the lead he was letting everyone know he has cramp, then misses everything and starts stretching it again making sure everyone knew.

He does have a poor characteristic of not taking injury too well mentally. In both the last SANFL match before being promoted, and this one, it was just the same. He flies for speccies and looks great, kicks goals, and then gets hurt and sulks a bit, missing subsequent goals. Amazingly, though, he still manages to fly for attempted speccies even after being injured.

If he has a long shot after getting injured, he should pass to someone else. He did this in the SANFL: he had a decent set shot position on the flank and refused to take it, signally vigoorously for someone to go to CHF so he could pass it to them!

Yep, I noticed him getting 'injured' in the SANFL last week too. It's every single game.

Appears it's a way he thinks he can manage expectations on him. I'm sorry, but you are a professional athlete, there is expectation.

Trying to get people to lower their expectations because you are 'injured' doesn't cut it. Especially when you do it every game.

Yep he's got a bit of the attention seeking, look at me's about him with his "injuries"

I posted about this quite a bit last year. Seemed like the club were getting him to play through some knocks to help him understand that being sore and being injured are different.

We saw it with Dangerfield. Would stay down as though at death's door then heroically pick himself up and be fine seconds later. Geelong got rid of that from his game. Wanganeen was the King. Would thrash about, roll over a bunch of times, kick his legs like a toddler having a tantrum. Trainers all around him. And miss 0 seconds of playing time.

I was surprised there wasn't more praise for him in the post-game thread, I thought he was great. Really stood up at crucial times and seemed to find his place in the forwardline.

Yeah he's made of glass but with Burgess at the helm, we won't die wondering.

We're all armchair psychologists here and I see Danger and McAdam with the same action but different motivations.

Danger likes the idea of, 'wow he won them the game on one leg, what a champion'.

McAdam could be looking for something like, 'yeah, he didn't kick a goal today, but he was injured so can't be too harsh on him'.

He's one of those guys who would be frustrating to play alongside. I know even his former Sturt teammate's thought it, but he had more than enough talent to get by at that level.

Was good today mind you, he's had a couple of good weeks since returning.

I noticed that too.

Recall watching a GWS game years ago and Will Hoskin-Elliot did the same thing post mark, pre kick. Dunstall who was commentating called it “loser’s limp” and sure enough WHE missed the kick and then went for more stretches.

Loser’s limp.

Both he and Gollant are going to knock each other out flying for the same high ball one day.

(Will also be a free to the opposition for unrealistic attempt)
They need to fly on top of our own player

One of them will mark it and it will be overturned for unrealistic against the other.

It just seems performative to me, a cry for attention.

Flying for the footy is both their weapons and hopefully the coaches are encouraging them to continue to fly for the ball

I love what both players are bringing to our forward line, our forward line mix is difficult for the opposition to match up on
