you might be able to help me
it could be the bundy, could be a bit of euphoria but was that sharrods best game for the club?
i thought he was unreal tonight, for a bloke that sat out half a game last week that was magic

ps. did's was ok to :p

stiff not to get BOG as i thought he was awesome all game and really damaging.

id agree with his best game for the club, especially considering a 1v2 clash

Best 2: Wellers & Dids.

You cannot shut down our midfield. Wellers, Dids, Pendles & Daisy. One of those guys will get you. Oh yeah, the Brownlow favourite does OK too.

Wellers was BOG on 3AW.

His best game by a longshot

But overshadowed tonight by Didaks brilliance.

B.O.G for mine....Didak is more familiar with most so he will get the votes with most stations.

Same reason average players at Geelong are considered A-Graders....familiarity.

I'd like to give a vote for McCaffer as well...I know there were better players but he did some really good things at key times in the game.

I recall in his first season, how good he was at keeping his hands and the ball clear while being tackled, and getting a clean disposal off.

Just has good footy skills, the kid... and has added some grunt and guts since then. :thumbsu:

Definitely. I thought it was his best game for the club as well. He's gone a long way to consolidating a finals spot over the past month.

His marking was excellent and always provided a really good contest in the air.

His set shot routine can be pretty poor sometimes but hopefully with growing confidence he'll feel more comfortable lining up for goal.

He starts games like a missile, and ends them like a beast.

Imagine when he learns how to put 4 quarters together, SCARY.

He just beat the likes of Ablett and Selwood to the ball, no one does that, NO ONE.

He is a star, and he is only going to get better.:D

He's back to the form that had everyone raving about him early in the season.

Just coming into some blistering form towards the pointy end of the season.

Absolute jet.

Taken his game to the next level.

Thought he was as good as he was before his injury maybe even better.

Love the bull-like stuff he did tonight from the packs.

One of the clearances where he dodged and weaved and emerged out of the centre was gold... Very good player.

On a different note, I was watching the game with a couple of mates and the perfect nickname for O'Brien was created......

The ANACONDA... Thoughts???

The Triple M team have been calling Harry the Brazilian Anaconda for a couple of years now. Doesn't make it any less awesome, though! :thumbsu:

I've pumped him up probably 5 or 6 times since he joined the club, as possibly our most talented midfielder, most Pies supporters bagged the crap out of him. He has a combination of skills that no one else in our midfield group has. He is good or better in just about every attribute you can think of, from pace and poise, to aerial ability and hardness. Even his kicking, his technique and style which is low off the ground and quick to it's target is excellent. His wavering accuracy is all in the head. I don't think he has a genuine weakness as a player, again except mentally.

He's possibly the main reason we are no longer regarded as having a slow midfield. Hopefully Josh Thomas comes in and improves that even further. Adding pace to the midfield adds a whole other dimension to the side.

That is interesting as I have never heard anyone else call him that.

When I heard it tonight, I thought "that is fu<ken brilliant"

Got into Selwood's face, it was lovely to watch. Being first to the ball majority of the time was a treat as well. :)

Garry Lyon: "The Anaconda, can you believe that!"

The transformation from last year, from a soft fringe player who was struggling to get a game to an integral part of our midfield has been amazing. Apparently he got a rocket over the offseason and was told he had to work harder or he'd be out, has responded in magnificent fashion. If he keeps this up he'll be named alongside Swan, Pendlebury and Didak as one of our most skilful and important players next year.

He looks like a pretty little outside flanker-finisher, but he's an inside monster! Very fast upstairs.

The votes will go like this i feel

3 - Didak
2 - Wellingham
1 - Varcoe

Dids a chance for the brownlow too??? The longer the season goes the more I feel that Swan won't win it just because the likes of dids, thomas and pendles would all have polled relatively well.. Add to that beams and a whole lot more, its gonna be interesting...
