lol what is it with u crow and port clowns that complain about the umpires all the time geez never heard anything when u were winning premierships,as i always say bad umpiring happens across the board every side cops it at different times but it evens out so stop crying and maybe u should think u turned the ball over tonight to easy and were lucky that it was only 2 pts :D

Don't you have something better to do, like have another Hird tribute/farewell?

I guess I’m the only one who sees it this way but I wouldn’t have paid that deliberate against MaGuire at the end. Of course we all know what his intent was but he’s a defender and he’s diving to spoil the ball, let them defend!!! Correct decision.

I was going mad at the umps all night but I had no problem with this decision.

What about Gehrigs non-mark where he then threw it out of bounds?

I missed your opinion on Radar Jenny. I couldn't agree with you less.

He was great. Certainly one of the very few that actually used the ball well tonight.

I will have to rewatch the game - but looking at my notes from the game - at the end of each quarter I have written "where's radar?" Like I said though - was fairly vocal throughout the game, maybe I missed him? :o

I thought the umpiring tonight was pretty good. IMO the turning point was when Doughty got caught holding the ball on the flank. It seemed to change the momentum of the game.

I just hope like hell Roo is playing injured, because if not, the end is nearer than we care to admit.

If we're lucky, we will limp into the finals between 5-8 and then limp straight out in the first two weeks. The injuries since about round 17 last year have been heart breaking. How long before the questions on our shocking run of injuries start to get louder.

hahaha...pwnt!!!

And SOME clowns STILL don't think we have the most INJURY RAVAGED list in the AFL :rolleyes::rolleyes:
Fair dinkum , we are like a RUGBY UNION team ATM .
Get 1 back , lose 2 more !!!!!!

He was excellent. Probably would've spent a fair bit of time on the pine, given that he hasn't played a great deal in recent times.

Certainly one of our better performers tonight.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) I didn't see much of the game tonight.

I gather Massie got done over by St Nick. We stuffed up our selection IMO. I thought we ahould have played an extra tall at the TD.

How many underdone players can we afford to carry at once - Burton, Roo, Bock, Edwards, etc?

Didn't see much of the game, but IMO selection may have cost us 4 points.

How bad is Rutten's injury?

Craig got it wrong big time tonight. Massie worked last week in the wet slippery conditions against a non marking big guy. This week it was suicide. Reiwoldt, great mark in the perfect conditions of the Telstra Dome and we put a midfielder on him!!! Then he took a half to make the change, then he changed it back again.

Rutten didnt help but Reiwoldt was a problem before he went off.

And some shocking bloody disposal again. We need a shrink.

Yep, great post which is spot on.

Ridiculous to think that Massie could hold or beat Reiwoldt - unfair on the both the team and Massie.

IMO the selectors and coaching panel had a stinker tonight.

What questions would you ask though? Bad luck is something that happens. Unfortunately, we seem to have broken every mirror in Adelaide, walked under 7000 ladders and run over 10000 black cats.

Didn't he kick four goals last week?

Didn't he kick two and present well all night after being injured in the first quarter?

EDIT - That post read more smart-arsed than I intended. Give Roo a break.

Right calf and left knee heavily iced. :thumbsd::( Doesn't look good. Roo twisted an ankle. Bock looked to have a groin of some sort. These poor buggers will be looking forward to October I am thinking. I thought Burton actually moved pretty well tonight.

You missed him 19 times then Jen. That's how many disposals he had.

I thought Reilly was noticeable for being one of the few who used the ball well.

He's starting to run back into form now after two successive ankle injuries.

Calf injury. Said he copped a knock in the 2nd quarter( personally I felt he was struggling the whole game)

Doctor noticed the calf bleeding at half time and immediately made the call that Rutten wouldnt go back on in any circumstance

Reilly and Knights were the 2 shining lights in our midfield tonight

Perhaps Knights light was SO bright, it took the focus of Radar?? ;)

Really, once again, the other team didn't really win, we just lost.

We rarely lose when we turn out to play a full game. Tonight, we switched off completely in the second quarter and it cost us the game. We should've won tonight, but we let it slip away.

Happens too often; agaisnt WCE we were comprehensively beaten, tonight, we allowed the other team to win by lacking intensity at different stages.

Knights is absolutely fantastic. To be honest, he had a couple of poor disposals tonight, but it's also the best I've seen of him working his way through traffic, and he used his 'explosive' pace to shrug off a couple of tackles.

He looks more and more like a young, dark haired Goodwin every week.

A far more telling stat than the free kick count.

I've got huge raps on Eevan, he plays for the jumper. the kid will go close to some sort of captaincy role if he continues to develop the way he has so far.

Gun Gun Gun

I think another critical stat was the contested marks, not sure what it ended up but C7 showed the stats half way through the last quarter and it was 14 to 4 and the Crows hadn't had one since the second quarter. Just lacked that target at half forward.

I am surprised McGregor played so much in defence, I think he is a pretty handy forward and a bit wasted down back. Injury to Rutten probably forced that a bit.

My hubby reckons he is a young Roo! And I agree, we lost the game in our heads at quarter time - when we thought we had it won.

hate to say this but i think you guys missed perrie out there this week.

it seemed like u had a lack of options up forward and the long bombs weren't going anywhere. just IMO though

Bit of credit to St Kilda please

Reiwoldt played a dominant game. Birrs stepped out of his skin and Maguire was solid

Saints weren't bad, Riewoldt was excellent, Gerhig was good, Harvey and Montagna were good.

They played well, but with our injuries and a bit of bad luck, we just missed out - we let it slip through our fingers.

reCOGnise - Perrie won't fix that, Pavlich will.

We didn't have a target down forward because we arguably went in a tall short, then we lost Rutten, and Bock was injured.
