I was re-watching the Fridays game yesterday and Clokey seemed to cop quite a few knocks and have no doubt is probably sore. Does anyone else think we should rest him? I'd much have Cloke up and running for the start of the season then win the mickey mouse cup

I wouldnt rest Cloke, I'd just make him wear a fluorescent orange bib for the 1st half of the GF, and bring him on after half time, when the initial burst has gone out of the game.

He needs some rest, but it will be 15 days from Friday to our Round 1 match against Adelaide, so he can have a nice rest then.

Plus we want to win this, yes not at the expense of injuries, but if he has no ill effects from last weeks game, he should play, even if only for part of the game.

Nah Cloke plays better when he is being used alot, i dont remember him ever coming back from a rest/break well.

Much prefer to play him into form and keep him there

Would go well with those fluorescent orange boots he was seen warming up with (before the Richmond game at least).

Before every game so far

I wish someone would rest me this week... I'm about to do a big bad bustling barry brain-snap shortly...

But back on topic, you want to rest Trav who's had a 1 game, a 2 week rest, then 2 middle-effort games?!? (meaning he's only needed to put in a middle-effort against middling opposition - not having a go at him).

He should be gagging to get back out on the track this week and putting some finesse on his 55m torpedos. And maybe his 15m drop punts :)

He will get a rest after this weeks game before round 1, with a footyless week seperating the two games.

He's on of the fittest at the club, i have no concern for him being rested.

Cloke adds Life....
and everybody needs a little life....:D

(showing my age here..lol)

"Oh look, I've spilt frothy coke all over my skimpy bikini..." - very formative ads for a young lad they were...

Ummmmmmmm!.....frothy coke..........

I can remember when The Tab Girl hit the screens. Before she turned into Elle MacPherson.

Ohhh. In a time when Samantha off Bewitched was pretty hot property she was a young mans prayers answered.:D;)

But I digress....back to Cloke.

Yep beyond that I think our fowardline is starting to take shape and function the best it has without Rocca and this will be another good test and if it works another good confidence build. Also the more they play together the better the understanding and chemistry will get.

NO,

It's the GF and Cloke will be 1 or if not our most important player just Remember when Rocca did not play in the 2003 GF

I believe I was back in my parents home as a child watching TV there for a minute Pie eyed. Good times

No. If big Ant was playing you might consider it, but even then i would say no. We need Cloke to straighten us up going forward and to give the small forwards a chance at the crumbs (that's if Cloke stays at home in the 50, wich i doubt).
The other alternative is, we play Josh, Wood and Bryan with Jost taking a roll at FF leaving Cloke to roam between the 50 ant the middle of the ground. Josh is a good mark, nice kick and would leave the other ruckmen to play 3/4 of the ground without the need to clog up the 50. This could also work to prevent the long kick out of defence (although this rarely happens).
