When someone says in that whiny voice "Oh but we played better than in the previous 5 rounds. We're improving!" I will be strongly urged to hurl a virtual brick at said person.

This game was ours for the taking, we had Tippett and Porpoise finding something. Pizza Boy was playing impressively, as were a lot of our other young brigade. You'd think with so many firing we'd grab the 4 points ... appear not.

Can't question the effort in the first 3 quarters. Our key players are just disappearing for periods of 20 minutes this year though. Last week it was 2nd quarter, today its was the last.

Yep, we're rubbish. Fought hard for 3 quarters then come out to show that lack of intensity and tackling and pressure is just woeful. Nothing has changed this year yet, we're just getting a bit fitter each week. At this rate we should win our first game in like Round 12 depending who we're up against.

Port always looked a lot more dangerous up forward. Our defence is still better than theirs but they always looked more threatening. The only time we really looked potent was when Douglas had that purple patch in the third.

That game confirm for me that our fitness levels are stuffed; we were the best team for 3 quarters, last quarter, we had absolutely nothing left in the tank.
