Not usually in favour of polls but Hawthorn supporters have been bagging Big Will and I believe he is a better ruckman than anyone they have.

Interested in how others see them.

Taylor is maligned , but his taps to advantage actually have him in the higher quota of ruckman in the comp.
Of course his brain fades certainly don't help the preception that he's utterly useless, but it must be rememebed that in 2008 when we'd cobbled together 14 wins in a row he was being talked about as part of one of the more dominant rucking duo's in the comp( only after a flag and retirement did Campbell start to gain any recognition).

Stupid poll, Will Minson by an absolute mile.

Minson's become one of the most underrated players in the comp. The fact that his work up forward is average seems to incline people that he's a hack even though that's not necessarily the truth. If people bothered to watch Bulldogs games, he does a very solid job as a ruckman both in the taps and during play and along with that, carries a nice kick for someone his size. Unfortunatley, stupid people tend to think if you can't mark the ball up forward, you can't play football.

Simon Taylor on the other hand, struggles to actually complete a ruck contest as he constantly gives away free kicks. Baffles me how he can constantly get games at a club that's supposed to be 'in contention'.

Taylor v's Hudson would be a much better Poll.. Will Minson is not good at anything (saxophone maybe) Taylor is Pretty good tap ruck wise, but a liability around the ground.

Taylor v Hudson would be a whitewash.

Minson is also pretty good tap ruck wise,he is a spud forward however which Taylor undoubtedly would be to

Hit outs per game
Taylor 23
Hudson 17

Hudson is a bit better once the ball hits the deck, but he is no Dean Cox.

What about hit outs to advantage?

Over their careers

Hit outs per game
Taylor 14.6
Hudson 14.6
Minson 12.4

Lol at Hawthorn supporters voting Taylor. What morons.

Oh and Hudson is a far superior ruckman to Taylor, don't even try comparing them.

both under avg ruckmen, minson not bad around ground so puts him slightly ahead...

Minson purely because when he tackles opposition he buries their stupid heads in the turf. No one messes with 'The Mince'!

So we have established that Hudson is a better ruckman than Taylor... LOL

Easily. If a ruckman averages a higher percentage of hitouts to advantage, then obviously his tapwork is more efficient. Taylor struggles to tap it anyway with all the free-kicks he hands over anyway.
