Sinclair is a more than handy back up for Naita, if Lycett doesn't turn out I don't think we have lost too much. Needs to get kicking lessons from Kennedy in front of goal though, he is a terrible set shot atm. I can see him kicking 20+ a year if he tidied that part up.

Lycett.. last year by his own admission he was ready to go, he has had another pre-season on top of that. No idea what has happened to him?

So good having Sinclair playing so well. He is limited and doesn't have the upside/potential of Lycett.

Lycett has the potential be the 2nd best ruck in the game behind Naitanui.

It will be a great day when Lycett forces his way into the team due to incredible form.

We have a great ace up our sleeve in Lycett.

Sinclair is riding coat tail. The fact Sinclair is a more adequate forward and less experienced ruckmen has probably played into his hands a little but at this stage Simpson like Worsfold jumped the gun too early.

Sinclair could have been dropped after his first few games.

You're being generous, adequate forwards can kick those goals he missed on the weekend.

EDIT: his marking and contested work was very good on the weekend though. Definitely playing his role, needs to kick those shots however.

Got too comfortable with Cox retiring and signing a four year contract? Motivation is a tricky thing.
Some guys just take time to work into the season. It sounded like he put in the work in the offseason so it's probably just in his head. I look forward to him coming in and cementing his spot and build on his form from last year. He throws his body around much much more than Sinclair and has more of a presence. Sinclair however deserves to keep his spot right now.

Still have confidence in Lycett. It's important to remember that while Sinclair is playing well, it still doesn't measure up to Lycett's best form. Inconsistency or loss in form isn't unusual in a young player, much less a young ruckman.

Our team is full of guys who have played well, had a stint in the wilderness and come back better players. Masten, Sheppard, Schofield, Brown, Butler, Wellingham and Rosa to name a few. I have no doubt that Lycett will do same.

How did people view Sinclairs game last night?

If Lycett is in form in the WAFL, i want him back. Offers a lot more around the ground IMO

It felt like we got beaten in the ruck and in the clearances when NicNat was off the ground pretty convincingly.

I maintain Lycett will be better in the long run, but probably needs a couple of really good WAFL matches to force his way back in.

Lycett will be in the 22 before the end of the season IMO.

Can never question Sinclair on his effort, but he's kicked 1 goal in 3 weeks.. while playing up forward 60-70% of the game.

Did not register a kick, mark or tackle last night.

wow - i thought he was ghost last night, but thats pretty glaring

Sinclair is good on impacting the contest when it comes down and often brings the ball to ground.
Although need to have a few more strings to the bow than that.

Lycett not showing enough in the wafl though to put the pressure on.

Lycett is a better tap ruckman and forward, but needs to work on his effort around the ground. Once that clicks, he will be back in the team. Sinclair is a great backup ruckman for us to hold onto.

I have faith Lycett will be the better footballer - but until he can compete hard in the ruck and not be manhandled - Sinclair keeps the spot

Sinclair has been able to nullify the likes of Mumford, maric,Lobbe

It used to be that when Nic went out of the ruck - the opposition got a run on. Not now, Callum is squaring the contest well

In hoping though that into the future NN can ruck 80% and the likes of McGovern can chop out

A forward trio of darling, Kennedy and McGovern is mouthwatering

Lycett hasnt been rucking in wafl and hasnt shown enough to replace sinclair . Its healthy to have it hanging over your head that there is a ruckman that can take your spot
