End of the day the club is still going to play the best team available, the same certainly can't be said for other clubs down near the bottom.

I worry about Headland ever putting in a full season again, Hill I think was probably about ready for a rest though.

At least your blokes can win a Derby ! I think the 2 worst teams in the comp. sadly come from WA at the moment. Bring back the zones for drafting :D .

It was pretty clear that the actual forward setup was dysfunctional last night. I think Tarrant was about our most promising forward and he spent 90% of the game in defense. :D

I'm not sure why people keep saying this. The forward setup was Headland at FF, Hill on HFF, with Sandi and Jonno changing at FP. It worked just fine till Hill and Headland went down and Jonno did his ankle and couldn't change in the ruck. If you lose (the best) 2 of your forward 6, the mobility of Jonno on the ball and Sandi creating the mis-match (which was pretty much the whole plan) it's hardly suprising it didn't work after that.
McPharlin is doing what he did last time he had an extended period in the forward line which is lose all his confidence. Send him back for good!

Then Murphy, Gilmore, and Drum are in shocking form and Ruffles, Walters, Hall and Bucovez aren't ready to play.
Hall should be given a game after the break IMO.

Was doubled and triple teamed at times today and didn't take a backward step. Is an absolute gun.

I love him, I wanna boof him, get him up here.

Which would mean Freo would dominate the competition...

Does anyone have Hall's weight/height? I think he'd only come in as a foward pocket, certainly not play on-ball, would get pushed off way too easily, he looks about 40kg.

Still a massive win for late 60's or whatever he was drafted at.

I actually think he'd go OK for a quarter or two as part of an on-the ball rotation - not as a tagger or up against an Ablett Jr or a Dal Santo., but IMHO would go OK on Subi against some of the younger mids from Melbourne, Port, Brisbane or Carlton. Would love to see him in a forward pocket against the Wet Toasters. And he'll tackle harder than a number of our bigger mid-tier players do...

181 Cm, 66Kg!

IMHO has added at least 8 kg to that, based on his size in the pre-season game over here and the footage I've seen since then of WAFL games. I'd still back him in a tackle drill against Murphy, even if he's only 60 kg.
