I like it Dangerfield takes over Roo's number, and now Sloane takes over Edwards' number.

It also continues the symmetry between Cook and Sloane who now have adjacent lockers after asking a club great to hand over their number

Not sure. Didnt Farmer do that? He went from 33 to 8 or something (at melbourne), decided his form sucked so changed back. Thought he did it mid year but I may be wrong.

I think you're right.

Having said that for whatever reasons sports organisations are always rather particular about their players numbers despite the fact in this day and age it matters little!

sloaney probably joked about it with him by sitting at his locker etc.... and Zooma probably thought it would be nice to hand it over. Wonder if Sloane will wear it post freo game?

Edwards is likely to follow in the footsteps of Ricciuto and hand his No.9 jumper down to a young player at the club, but said he wasn’t ready to part with it just yet.

The context to me suggested it was a done deal (not sure why theyd pick Rory randomly out of the crowd for example), but if ive jumped the gun, then fair enough.
