East Malvern sympathiser here, just getting an early jump on next season. Looking at away games for next year and trying to identify the nearest TAB to grounds whilst on my travels.
Certainly an important pre game supporter routine. And it's nice to pop into a new watering hole prior to tipping a little bit over the bar once at the ground.

I do - balance my time between my old junior club and Dairy Bell during the season.
I can't say I've had much to cheer about this year.

Hard to tell tbh, the club benefitted from a big injection of players from St Kevins in the VAFA. Unfortunately they all want to play together hence the big difference in results from the 1's to the 2's.
It's the right time for the club to spend a few years in Div 2 as I believe that's where the club is best suited. The door is always open to new recruits and hopefully those that arrived this year will stick around.

CH are looking the goods, still think it’s going to be an awesome finals series though. Keysey dangerous with Bryan back in action and doveton are nipping at CH heels, Caulfield’s best footy still good enough as well and dangerous on their day.
How’s the league allow CH to play everyone off the bye? Is it just me or is that an advantage? Typical SFL with the amateur hour draw. I know Hampton was a late out but surely something else can be thought of besides the same team playing everyone off the bye! Ridiculous…

Depends how you look at it I guess. Could be detrimental to them as every team can have a freshen up leading into playing them.
They look to be the best side in it. Don’t think the draw is the reason for it.

Interesting that 4 of the top 5 teams in D2 are old South West Gippy clubs (CH, Doveton, Keysy and HP). Throw in Cranny and Dingley in D1 and the nucleus of the old league is close to being back together.
