About 15 years ago I was on the receiving end of a home invasion. Guy in a balaclava walked in with a sawnoff gun and ordered myself and some friends to face the ground while he went to ziptie our hand behind our backs. Can still recall that feeling of dread and numbness that washes over you once your mind catches up with the reality of the situation.
Home invasion? **** me.

Where do you live?

So update time, back at work but I have a week off already booked for next week, so good timing me. On the whole, I'm not too bad. I have found that I'm not particularly sleeping, well, at all really and I've been ruminating on it a fair bit. My only thought was off my daughter and I guess that's the worst part. So on at the moment and hopefully will stay that way.

There's been a spate of armed servo robberies in the Northern suburbs of Perth this week, another servo in Ocean Reef was robbed last night.

Probably all the same guy.

At least if your servo has already been robbed there's a good chance he won't be returning there to try his luck again.

They caught the guy from last night, so hopefully it's the same fella.

Hopefully he'll be the guy with the t-shirt over his head!

As long as you're happy for people to have no way to defend themselves if someone attacks them with a weapon thats ok.

It's quite generous of you.

Clerk gets shot by robber, no gun, she's probably dead. Able to return fire, lives.

If you're trained with guns you know the gun it loaded, you know how to flip the safety without the crim seeing it, you know you are willing to shoot (is the robber?), you know what is about to happen, the robber doesn't. You then have the advantage.

Did he shoot her because she went for her gun? Probably. If she never had a gun she probably wouldn't have been shot and he'd be alive.

"Police said around 9 p.m., Christopher Shockley attempted to rob the store at gun point, and Long grabbed a gun of her own from behind the counter.

"He came in to do the armed robbery. It turned into a gun fight," said Toledo Police Public Information Officer Joe Heffernan.

According to police, Shockley shot first, striking the clerk in the abdomen. Long then returned fire, hitting Shockley, and killing him..."

That's hardcore mate.

Closest I ever come to that was working at HJ's. Bloke came through drive thru and when he got to the window pulled a pocket knife out and threatened to kill me if I didn't give him his order for free.

I told him to bite me and I had bigger knives in the store so he was welcome to try before closing the window on him.

But gun? Bigger Knife? No ******* way. Let them take it every time.

what did he order? was it reported to cops?

sounds like he didnt come back. dont think it was wise to counter threaten him in a size contest. what wouldve happened if he came back with his ruckus crew come closing time. scary

bro he aint gonna tell anyone where he lives :D

No idea what the order was. Wouldn't have been much.

The store was always locked to customers after 10 with drive thru open until 11 so if he'd come back with his "crew" I'd have sat in the store and waited for the cops from the big shiny police station across the road walk the 30 metres to respond to my call.

Gus is a right wing populist. He doesn't give a shit about that.

Bomberboyokay is one of those people who thinks anyone who doesn't share his wimp attitude to life is a right wing person.

Erhm the bike gangs around you in this nation have large caches of firearms. Not sure what your post is getting at? Criminals have guns? What a revelation. Keep em coming. So enlightening.
Haha all bikers are criminals aren't they. Well, the ones that shoot people are I guess so you're partly right. And you're suggesting that people were killed because these guns were illegal, that if they were legal people wouldn't have been killed?

No, I'm suggesting that just because some bikers shoot each other up it has zero relevance to anything outside of criminal gangs acting like criminals.
