Right now, Lachie Hansen. Easily the most effective defender in the league - intercept marks, uses it well setting up the rebound, can take a beast or play loose and even swing forward.

Sam Gibson goes alright. Seems to have upped his possessions and upped the hurt factor as well considerably this year.

His ability to accumulate and run all day never in doubt. Agree upping his "hurt factor" has been vital. Has poor footskills, but working on them it seems.

Interesting. When I've seen him he's been pretty good.

Personally I'm not one of the haters, I rate him as one of our most important players, but his kicking has been a real liability at times. He's so dedicated that he never stops working on it though.

great player but is he under-rated? he is likely to be AA this year

North supporters seem to hate Gibson though?

He has the tendency to butcher the ball sometimes. Been a lot better this year and, considering he can run for days, he's really became an asset to us.

His kicking 'problems' are exaggerated.

Was probably BOG today and would be top five in our B&F currently.
I was thinking yesterday that he misses more targets by hand than he should after a few overcooked handballs but then Dal was wasting them too. Can't really judge on disposal from yesterday, Lindsay was the only man out there using the ball with purpose every time.

I don't know. I think Mitchell's build makes him look like a little nuggety player which distracts from his skill. It also means he rarely takes any exciting marks where even guys who aren't known for their marking like Pendlebury or Cotchin take some good ones here and there. I think Mitchell suffers because of how many players he is surrounded by who do the sublime like Hodge, Roughy, Rioli that he isn't really classed as a superstar.

I think the reason Mitchell is only a gun and not a superstar is the fact that in the 3 grand finals he's played in he averages 16 touches per game, goes missing in the big moments imo

Easton Wood. He's been handy for a while now but still gets called a spud.

This week he's finally getting some recognition after his efforts vs Sydney first to kick the last goal of the game after Sydney had taken back the lead and then in the dying seconds to win the ball in a two on one in defense to save the game.

Jaime elliot at the pies doesnt seem to get the recognition he deserves. seems to be able to kick mutiples on a weekly basis and not to mention his pack marking capabilities. Only just re signed by the pies and well done to them.
