Since she is a part of or was at one point a cohost on SBS which features other football knuckle heads like craig foster or "Foz" as they call him, I'm guessing there is still a bit of anger from the football heads in Australia because Demetriou at the time didn't bend over to their demands so we could host this international tournament 15 years ago.

When will these football personalities get over it and come to terms with the fact that this great and global international sport sits 3rd if not 4th in popularity in Australia?

I sort of get where she is coming from. A-League really failed by not capitalising on Manchester United being in Melbourne. The pot shot at the AFL is wrong but the failure of soccer again is well known
