I love sport. Footy is number 1, but seeing a live World Cup game and all that would bring to our country is a once in a lifetime thing.

This website has mainly people who love AFL so it is not a real reflection of the whole community. The average Australian person would probably not really be into either soccer or AFL seriously so I'm sure they'd choose the world cup simply because it doesn't happen very often.

Non contact? This is a myth. How do so many of them get broken legs if it's non contact?

How about we have the World Cup in our summer and let FIFA tell the premier league to stop a whole season.
The other reason it wont work is all the participating countrys who play in the Cup will require training venues and AFL clubs have the best in that reguard. I would like to see the FFA ask a club to go train somewhere else for 6 to 8 weeks
