Some weird coincidences in the world sometimes. After nominating Powderfinger last round I practically bumped into Bernard Fanning at Southbank market this arvo. After telling him I was old enough to have seen PF at the punters club in Fitzroy early 90s, he told me he was so old he was taking his mum to the opera and showed me the program. His mum loved it. What a lovely chap. If only I'd shown him SM's comment on the Beatles cover and gotten a video response.
