not sure how Danger isnt respected, if not loved, by our fans. He gave all to the end. Inc winning the B&F and being totally invested in the finals games in 2015

His wifes the daughter of the ex Mayor of Geelong. We cant imagine the 'benefits' he and his family would be afforded going back home, esp as they were wanting to start a family. It sucks to have lost arguably our greatest ever player, esp after the year we had, but Danger gave his all, was open and transparent at the B&F and has conducted himself with integrity and authenticity throughout. Still hurts losing him but he is a quality individual IMO
Hello, Mr Reid

Hello, Mr Reid
Reidy mentiined recently:

  • Crows were frustrated only getting one first rounder for Danger and with the other - unlike 1970s views - had already committed to Henderson and that other pick wasn’t available. Don’t worry about media reports and dates, the deal was done.
  • Crows gained better compo for Danger than Giants did for Jezza. I mentioned this years ago and a few laughed but that’s the clubs view.
  • Club has deliberately targeted more of the absolute elite players in trades in recent years (Day, Dawson, Rankine, NWM, arguably Oliver) after learning fron going after B-C graders previously. We acknowledge we have got a lot better after an underwhelming first few years from around 2015
  • Crows did NOT offer 2 x firsts for Petty, it’s crap

Are you not happy with Reids performance mate? Pies tried hard to poach. Thankfully we kept him. Excellent quality inbound players with more to come. And not losing anyone of note in recent years (and getting overs when some did leave lie NcAdam)

I disagree. Port could be a contender or a basket case by then. And I wouldnt put my money on them being contenders.

TBH I have ST. KILDA being a bigger threat in 2027 then Port. Both on the field and in the race for NWMs signiture
the vast majority of players that have lasted 6 years at one club do extend until FA at 8 years. Most recently Rowell and I expect Curtin will do the same. With the FS/NGA stuff about to be watered down (at last!) Port will at least have a better chance at coming up with a better trade package in 2027 for the Saints.

That said, why would Nas join them when they are odds on to miss finals next 2 years AND LOSE Butters AND Bergman respectively in this timeframe. This isnt me making this up. This is from perhaps the most reliable source who said they are 'both definitely gone'.

Power out of finals until next decade hopefully they havent

Can't believe i haven't seen that before. That's quality

TBH there's not many HBFers I would chase right now. Our defense is overflowing with good young players.

He would need to be a substantial upgrade to those guys for me. (unless we have plans to move on a Hinge, or Laird)

Could Laird be a bit on the outer? First to throw Rachele under the bus, rested in critical Hawks game and has now gotten himself a fair chance of being suspended for a useless and selfish off the ball hip and shoulder. Is he possibly a little unhappy?

With Mitch Stevens probably coming in this offseason, should we really be targeting McVee?

Question is the other way around. If we're getting McVee, should we really be committing to a Stevens?

Though, of course, it's a free hit.

Not sure what position he plays but yes exactly and then means we can trade our first rounder with it mattering as much
