Chris Bryan will look to make his debut in the NAB Cup competition after being named in the 29-man squad
Collingwood has brought back Anthony Corrie and Chris Dawes for its semi-final clash against Essendon at the Docklands on Friday night.
Corrie and Dawes will come into the side along with ruckman Chris Bryan who will look to make his debut in the NAB Cup after being named in the 29-man squad on Wednesday.
Skipper Nick Maxwell, Josh Fraser and Tyson Goldsack will be rested.
Corrie had 17 disposals, four marks and three tackles in round one but his ball usage let him down disposing it with 70% efficiency. It will be a month since the midfielder played his last game for the club and will no doubt look to impress the coaches on Friday night.
Forward Chris Dawes was recalled into the side after a five goal haul playing for Collingwood's VFL side in last Saturday’s practice match against the Coburg Tigers. The 193-centimetre big man impressed coaches by providing a strong target up forward.
Bryan and Cameron Wood will make up Collingwood’s ruck duo with Fraser being rested this week. Bryan played 17 games for the Magpies last season and averaged 14 hit outs a match.
Steele Sidebottom, who was on the emergency bench in the first two rounds, is in contention to play against Essendon.
The squad includes eight on the bench (two super-subs) and three emergencies.
The team list will be finalised 90 minutes before the start of the game.

) and we didn't pick him with our first pick so that we could injure him in a NAB Cup game. I say let him play against men in the VFL for a bit longer yet. Unleash him ANZAC day!
