Israel's atrocities pale in comparison to Sri Lanka's.

Caveat one is a colonial settler state under the purview of US sponsorship. One is a civil war, more like some of the former USSR satellites.

On the whole, Israel comes out looking like Mother Teresa by comparison. And this is not hasbara, Israel is a criminal state with few redeeming characteristics.

What the writer of these articles fails to understand is that the Sri Lankan government finished their war. They put their foot down and decided to take action for the greater good. Sure, many people died in order for this to happen but how many future lives were saved by ending the conflict once and for all? If those rebels had been allowed to live, they would have eventually gone back to their old ways of bombing innocent civilians. It's a shame Israel can't do the same, the conflict in the Middle East will just keep on going and going and the death toll will eventually be in the millions.
