The Bears led the Swans 19 golas to 0 at half-time at the Gabba in 1993, and I'm sure they kicked the first 6 after the break as well. I heard the scoreline on the radio - 164 to 4 - you don't forget that sort of thing in a hurry.
We know this much. The Brisbane Bears kicked the first 19 goals and may have kicked as many as the first 27 goals.

Amazingly, after this incredible win, Brisbane lost 11 of their next 12 games.

Geelong's 133-point demolition of the Fremantle Dockers today produced this margin for only the second time, and the first time in a home and away match.

The only other game to have a 133-point margin was the 1984 Preliminary Final, where Essendon thrashed Collingwood 28.6-174 to 5.11-41.

Posted these on Facebook so thought you'd like them.

Quite a few records in today's Geelong vs Fremantle game.

Geelong's highest ever score vs Fremantle. (24.14.158.)

The most goals Geelong's ever kicked vs Fremantle (24.)

Fremantle's equal lowest score vs Geelong (3.7.25.) (Also happened R20 in 2004 but, in that game, Geelong kicked 9.21.75.)

Geelong's highest ever win vs Fremantle (133 points.)
This smashed the previous record by a massive 59 points. (118 - 44 in R15 2008 which netted a 74 point win to Geelong and was also the game which had Dean Solomon reported for his elbow on Cameron Ling.)

133 points is also Ross Lyon's highest ever losing margin as a senior coach.

133 points is also Fremantle's highest ever losing margin.

A 133 point margin has only happened once before today and that was the 1984 Preliminary Final between Essendon and Collingwood which Essendon won with the scoreline 28.6.174 beating Collingwood 5.11.41.

The last time a team involving Ross Lyon was involved in a game where a margin was decided by 130+ points was R2 1991 where Melbourne defeated Fitzroy 180-49.

133 points is Geelong's highest winning margin since R20 2011 when they defeated Gold Coast 29.14.188 - 6.2.38 which is a 150 point margin.

Fremantle have now conceded 2 consecutive scores of 150+ in a Round 22 game.
Last year, Richmond kicked 25.5.155 which was Jack Graham's debut game.

Both games resulted in triple digit losses to Fremantle (104 last year and 133 today.)

133 points is also the highest winning margin for Gary Ablett since Round 13 2008 where Geelong beat West Coast 182-47 which was a 135 point win.

Gaz also became the 3rd verified VFL/AFL player today to notch up 300 games, 400 goals and 8000+ touches.

Gaz' all time highest winning margin is 157 points vs Richmond in R6 2007 so today's 133 points ranks as his 3rd highest margin.

Gaz' all time highest losing margin is 139 points vs Essendon in R6 2011.

133 points marks a new highest losing margin for 21 of Fremantle's players today with only Nathan Wilson playing in a game where the losing margin exceeded 133 points and that was the Hawthorn-GWS game of R15 2012 where Hawthorn won 28.25.193 defeating GWS 4.7.31 netting a margin of 162 points which, so far, is GWS' highest ever loss.

The following Geelong players have today's 133 point win as their personal best in a VFL/AFL game:

Ryan Abbott.
Mark Blicavs.
Patrick Dangerfield.
Cameron Guthrie.
Lachie Henderson.
Jack Henry.
Tim Kelly.
Jake Kolodjashnij.
Sam Menegola.
Daniel Menzel.
Jordan Murdoch.
Mark O'Connor.
Brandan Parfitt.
Scott Selwood.
Tom Stewart.
Jackson Thurlow.
Zach Tuohy.

Today marked the first time a VFL/AFL game finished with a score of 158-25.

Adding to those:

133 points is the highest losing margin in Freo's history (117 the previous highest and registered twice.)

133 points is Geelong's 8th highest winning margin in VFL/AFL history.

Geelong's 133 points has them equal 48th for greatest VFL/AFL winning margins.

No help with these videos:

For a game that the players involved would now only be between 45 and 55 years old.....surely the scoreboard attendants, or someone at each club would have memory of that match in terms of when the Swans scored a goal first? I bet the player who kicked the first goal for the Swans that day will remember what the score against was!

Progression of Most Handballs in a Game:

34 - R01, 2018 - Tom Mitchell
35 - R22, 2018 - Matt Crouch

Dale Lewis kicked the 1st goal in the 6th minute of the 3rd quarter. Dean McRae kicked the 2nd goal just before 3/4 time. That's all I know so far.

Nathan Buckley and Michael Voss played in that game. Dale Lewis may recall if the Bears had 19, 20 or 21 goals before he kicked his.

Chris Scott has coached Geelong in 163 games since winning the 2011 premiership.

If he completes his new contract extension to 2022 without winning another premiership, he will set a new record for most games coached at one club in one stint after winning a premiership.

The three coaches currently ahead of Scott are:

- Dick Reynolds (coached Essendon in 191 games over 10 years after winning the 1950 premiership)
- Allan Jeans (coached St.Kilda in 217 games over 10 years after winning the 1966 premiership)
- Jock McHale (coached Collingwood in 250 games over 13 years after winning the 1936 premiership)

As Scott has a minimum of 89 games to coach until the end of 2022, he would exceed 250 games over 11 years since the 2011 premiership.
