Said in the pre season that this would be his real breakout season, he had a good season in our 2012 premiership season but i really think he could become a top 10 player by the end of this season.
Gotta sign him up as GWS would just love to add him to their young midfield.

Liking the prophecy.
And also would like if he might have just a good season this year and a real breakout in future. Because if this is just good, I can't wait for better.

Nice article about Steele on the official site;

Typically, Sidebottom played a dead bat when asked about his contribution after the game but his coach was more effusive.

"He's had a good year, he's had a great year," Buckley said of Sidebottom's season to date.

"He's really built and progressed. He works so hard; he's a hard runner up and back, two-way running."

You're not going bad when your coach says you are having a "great year".:thumbsu:

He effectively has swapped place with Wellingham and Bucks needs to take some credit.

Wellingham has a great leap and plenty of pace, almost the perfect HFF. Sidebottom on the other hand is very smart around the packs and will get plenty of opportunity to deliver the ball more frequently inside 50 from the midfield, taking advantage of his awesome disposal.

Our boys are starting to play the contested footy required this year and I'm loving it.

Wellingham's best quality is neither his pace, nor his leap. It's his ability to slither into contested situations and extract with extremely clean and quick hands. He's got quicker hands than even Pendles. I don't think he's a perfect HFF type at all. I think he could perform the role to a decent level, but his real strength is best suited in the middle. It is in fact his outside game which could use the most development and is a major reason why he doesn't rack up heavy possession games more frequently. He's at his best in congestion. Sidebottoms good around packs, but Wellingham is even better inside one.

In regards to Sidebottom though, I want to see him be this good consistently for the entire year. At the moment it's just a hot patch, which he's had before, only to throw in a bunch of mediocre games. Hopefully he maintains this standard. Beams too.
