Interesting in two respects:

1. He doesn't come across as that great but obviously he stacks up well at an industry level.

2. Good to finally have a Geelong person on the inside!

Shit timing...

Leading into Finals..

He'd want to be in play for us until the season and trade periods are concluded.

Was always going to happen listening to Brian Cook interviews... Not sure who will replace him - they could have waited till season ends?

Might get some decent outcomes grom the MRP for once.

Hope we send him off with a hit list.

1. We are a geelong team not Melbourne so all games should be played at geelong, no matter who it is

2. Why are we always dudded at the tribunal?

3. Why don't we get home ground advantages, when we deserve it

4. Are we still paying the tax? If so fix it up to be equal

5. AFL give funding to finish the ground

6. Get Ablett back for free

7. 2 dollar pies and beers for the whole match every week

All those years the club put into him to make him what he is today and the AFL poach him from us.
Yeah he should have been barred from ever applying for a job with the AFL or any other club.

What it does show is that he is very highly regarded by those who run the game whereas there are some here who have described him as a dud. It's easy to see who was wrong.

No offence but those who run the game didn't get it right with the appointment of the guy he is replacing lol....

Geelong lose a future ceo? Im sure we have more than 1 person capable of doing the job ...in interview with Cook recently he said he probably would see out 1 more year... so we have a little bit of time to groom his replacement.

A year getting experience at HQ will do Hocking no harm.;)

That's a ticket to run on... watch out Brian Cook, could be coup on the horizon...

Hopefully he stays on until after the trade period. As not having his experience there could mean we don't get the deals done as we'd hope.
