Johnson's comments re the slackness at training is enlightening, but probably not surprising when I think about it, and now that I think about it a bit more, its downright irritating.

There is a major difference between an opinion and a sarcastic, unfounded, personal attack. If you'd said, "I would've preferred Bowden as captain because I think he's a better on-field leader than KJ" I reckon you might've had a bit more support.
Part of being a true supporter and member of a football club is providing unconditional support to your team. You don't have to agree with everything the club does, but you should at least approach it objectively. The team and especially the captain of the team deserve our respect. They embody everything that we all devote so much of our time and passion to. If you don't respect that, why do you follow Richmond?

KJ is a joke of a captain. I resent supporters who say he's a good bloke so leave him alone. They said it about Frawley, they say it about Johnson.

I want our club to have people there that everyone hates. I hate nice blokes. I want a captain that gets reported for slugging some tosser like Buckley. I want another Freezer.

I hate soft Richmond captains. Rory Hilton was a better tagger. He got reported when he played that role.

We have premierships at our club, but we dont have Brownlow medallists because our best players always got reported. They played to win premierships, not B&Fs.

We will always be a soft club whilst we have a soft captain

• Brown - maybe, media savvy, top player - but needs to recover from major injury
• Bowden - no, way softer than Johnson
• Coughlan - no, too quiet, introverted, injury prone
• Other youngsters - not yet ready

Until the younger brigade develop, lets take our medicine and let the Johnson captaincy take its course.

In the meantime shut the ******** up, talk about beating a dead dog!!!
