Actually what has happened is that.

We have made a bid for Herrera in the normal fashion
Which has been rejected
However United have activated the buyout cause (Reported by Media in Spain)
Herrera Has sent in the necessary forms to the tax office to deposit the money for the buyout clause
The stalling is due to issues between Real Zaragoza and Bilbao over 1.4 million euros.

Mundo Deportivo has stated that Herrera has already been to Carrington with his Agent and Father to have a tour and to speak to Sir Bobby.

but athletic have rejected the bid. which is the point. from DONE DEAL (same spanish papers), which is wrong, to rejected in the course of 12 hours.

Well when you finish 7th and have a squad with many holes in it big deals are necessary.

The bid does not matter as all Spanish players have buyout clauses (You can get Ronaldo if you spend one Billion euros and he agrees to personal terms) the bid was there merely as subterfuge as we activated the buyout clause on the Monday, the issue is with takes and Zaragoza getting some cash.

Look at Bayern they had just as much troubles to get Martinez or look at Lorente and what he had to do to get out of Bilbao.


And in actual fact Moyes cancelled the transfers of Thiago, Garay, Strootman in the last window, and United having transfer sagas is no different from every other season for example Shearer, L.Ronaldo, Kluviert, Ronaldinho ect ect.

Bilbao were always going to reject the bid, we dont need to deal with them as long as Herrera deposits the money at the La Liga offices.
