I guess you need to get more than three kicks to be worthy of a mainboard thread.

No, the point was we dont need a multitude of threads discussing Sydney 2005 v 2017, John Longmire and Rohan when it can all be handled in one thread

Unfortunately there's too many guys in the side that aren't great under pressure. Jack, Parker, rohan, papley, Reid have all failed to fire when it mattered at one time or another. Couple that with those bottom few players generally not up to it and it is a disaster in finals

They've got too many new players in their team.

Their 2014 team was much better than this one

Mitch Duncan took as many marks as the Swans midfield.

Work rate was missing. Combine that with Geelong's return to forward pressure intensity, no wonder they made a lot of turnovers and couldn't transition forwards.

Sydney are completely mentally broken after 2014 and 2016.

Horse is beaten too many times in the coaches box. He's not an elite coach. He's a one trick pony with the privilege of coaching an elite list who has coughed up two golden opportunities.

Parker, Rohan, Jack etc. go missing far too often in big games.

I'd give them a partial pass tonight - they've been up for about 4 months because of their start, it was bound to hit them some time.

That said, the margin was embarrassing and Longmire comprehensively out coached.

I don't think they have enough pace around the ball, and unless they are absolutely dominating contested ball they get found out. They are good enough to continue making finals, but I'm not sure there is a flag in their future.

Was at the game, Swans were incredibly soft tonight, definitely an off night for them but partly predictable due to the games location where they struggle to cluster it up the way they do the smaller grounds.

Too many easy free kick fests at the SCG.
Swans get convinced the game is too easy, softens them up too much.

They looked absolutely lost out there at the MCG today.

Since they play like 9? Games a year at the scg which is the size of a netball court, they'll probably keep being in finals with a contested 2005 roos game plan.
