Always enjoy HB's articles but not much time for the other contributors these days
HB does his homework and is much more analytical than most.
Couldn't believe what Oman served up on the Swans. Read his other analyses and they were better if not great but ours was as if he's never seen even a replay.
Eg he puts Riak, Edwards and Snell in the same basket despite the big difference in experience.

They weren't the only ones. It wasn't a great article

Loved seeing Gulden giving the pre-game pep talk.

Credit to our media department too, who have been outstanding in delivering content and insights into the club this pre-season (and I have given them my share of whacks over the years.)

What narrative?
When we listen to certain star players say after a good performance that they could only do it because of other players doing the disciplined defensive stuff. Or “doing their roles” which the coaches like to spout out.
So I’m saying I am sick of hearing that shit because my first reference point is the two GF smashing.
You know?
Sick of that narrative.
It’s 22 v 22.
Why don’t they all be accountable for attack & defence because when you allow the stars to “cheat” & front run, then it puts the rest of the team at risk when the shit hits the fan & the ball gets turned over for a quick counter attack the other way.
Thats the two GFs to a tee.
Watch them on repeat.

A completely garbage article based a view of the Swans from this time last year.

Meyers sometimes writes good articles but they're for members ($$) and generally offer few real insights. I'm not willing to pay up for a few decent comments per year. I'd rather read the opinions on bigfooty

Heeney, Gulden and Sheldrick?
Heeney, Gulden, Campbell, Rowbottom, Jordon and Sheldrick? Someone will step up

Campbell has given us a good look at what he's capable of. Sheldrick's given us a fair glimpse.

Rowbottom is the most under-rated midfielder in the league. He's become a very good kick, he snags a few goals and has developed some serious pace, on top of becoming the most destructive tackle machine in the league.

Then there's James Jordon, who is still only 24. James is one of those flexible players who can play multiple roles. He's clearly very skilled outside of just his unique stopping abilities. In 2022 at just 21 he had a blinder of a game against Collingwood picking up 29 disposals at 82.8% and taking 8 marks. He picked up a rising star nomination for his 2021 Rd 8 game against us where he laid eight tackles. He's put on a lot of size since he then and can play more inside midfield. He has the desperation of Parker to impact a contest. He was highly regarded by Melbourne who struggled to squeeze him into a packed and highly talented midfield. That was our luck. He's not the steak knives of the Grundy trade as many assumed. Far from it. Jordon may well turn out to be the jewel of the trade.

Fact is we have a stack of young talent trying to break in. I hope Cox sticks to his commitment to play more of them. We may have several Chad Warners.

HB is still pretty good. This is Matt Oman. I agree, it's dreadful.

I'm glad they're sick of talking about it. I hope it pushes them to put it all together on the last day when it counts because as a fan I'm sick of watching it all fall apart on the last day.
But you're doing what they are. Sick of it , we have to move forward

Anyone who gets out there is pretty courageous anyway. I think Swans wise in my time an underrated one was Cressa, he didn’t give a **** about his body in any contest. The guy smacked his own knee back into place
