Cmon Bedford - catch on. KC moved on pretty quickly and I haven’t.

There’s no irony font unfortunately.

But yes, I am still dwelling - looking forward to the new season for sure, still spitting chips in the way we lost it.

But did we 'lose' it? Losing something would suggest we were in it at some point in time. We were sitting ducks from the outset.

Yeah, I'm not over it either

I had my heart broken many times before I found the perfect woman. Do I regret the time I wasted? Not at all.

Would I swap all the exciting times with lovers who failed to make final cut? Not at all. I'd rather have enjoyed great years with poor endings than years of boredom waiting for Ms Perfect.

I trust the Swans will always do well. They will almost always make finals and they will fairly often make the GF. I enjoy those seasons immensely. The ending has broken my heart but it mends.

There are two lines from the great American poet Alfred Lord Tennyson which I find most fitting

'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all : In Memoriam (S27) 1850

In the spring a young man’s fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love : Locksley Hall 1842

I already fancy this team and I expect my thoughts may turn to love in spring. I hope this time the team is no.1 and not another no.2 (pun intended)
Pretty sure Tennyson was English. I’d like the boys to chant “Charge of the Light Brigade” before they go into battle (or play a game of footy).

The written material from the Swans on their official channels is so shoddy sometimes. Website article regarding tomorrow's team states that Hanily and Green are first year players. They have Riak's last name as Andrews instead of Andrew.

I know there's a lot that goes into it and the are busy churning out material without dedicated editors but it's a poor look from a multi million dollar organisation.

Hanily and Green they mean are playing their 1st games in the seniors

Will the sound of a new voice in the coaches' box help Sydney overcome the scars from multiple grand final humiliations? In FOOTYOLOGY's 'Tale of the Tape' series, Ronny Lerner assesses the Swans' prospects. #footyology

No mention of Rowbottom among our 4 midfield stars.

Melican not the first name mentioned, or even at all, when talking about the defence.

Lloyd praised in defence when his best form was on the wing.

HSun/Code out with their ratings for every player on our list (forewarning: It's Jon Ralph and Glenn McFarlane doing all of the clubs' lists)

Hint: their top 3 are the obvious 3....
Macca is a distant cousin , already have messaged him about the 23 rating of Matt Roberts well below Hayward and only above Wicks , also behind Fox !

The Swans selections were done by Ralph , shows he knows nothing

Explains why he went missing for 3 quarters again I guess
He was the sub when he was gifted his p’ship medal by the true Bloods that came before him.
Four more attempts after that for 4 losses, 3 of which were by 60 points, 80 points & 60 points again.
As the most senior player representing the club in those embarrassing debacles, he needs to take the bulk of the responsibility for choking & showing poor leadership to his younger team mates.
Last year I felt he was more concerned about his personal situation rather than team success & the results back it up.
This year it’s Chad’s turn to look after who’s important.
Hence why I don’t believe anything will change should we make finals. We no longer have that team first ethos tgat existed when we had less talented players under Roos. Too many egos now.
