Milera is one of the softest spoken, and nicest guys you will come across.
I think he just pulled the wrong word out at the wrong time.
When you are put on the spot, and you arnt an experienced public speaker, you can get your words around.
I think he was probably trying to say that he thought they were a bit unorganised or not sure what to do with the pressure the Crows were putting on.

This isn't a comment on Sydney the club, but at that particular time.
It's not out of all possibilities that a team with alot of inexperienced players covering the loss of 7 or so first 22, might not be as disciplined in the game plan as the others might be.

For what it's worth, Sydney will be fine.
They are coming off the grand final blues, have a heap of injuries, and confidence is a bit low.
They have plenty of talent, and some good academy kids this year, so I expect them to regroup and rebound next year.
Milera didn't say anything wrong here though. No one should be saying anything against him. We, as football fans and followers can't have it both ways.
Yes it's disrespectful. It was a disrespectful performance from the Swans. From Milera's POV and also his position the Swans were being disrespectful to each other.
GTFOH with its an unspoken rule or anything else others trot out. If that were the case we would still have 100s of traditions in football that are forbidden.
Milera should be commended TBH. He didn't go out of his way to do so unjustly or make a point of it. It was 100% valid and I put more emphasis on Sydney for not having knowledge of just how bad this club has fallen off, "by their standards" which you will hear multiple times throughout the weeks.

Paul Roos on ABC radio a moment ago.

Key points:

1. The team hasn’t yet found their brand under Dean Cox.

2. Errol is the Swans most important player.

3. He was getting frustrated texts from ex-Swans players all evening

4. There are only a couple of teams in the AFL that can cover the loss of a few stars (he mentioned Collingwood and Brisbane). Sydney don’t have the depth.

5. Sampi wasn’t held.

Errol skipper next year

I love roosy and everything he did for the club... but it wasn't all Rosy back then either. Remember those games against Collingwood at home seemed like each year . I reckon we had about 10 forward 50 entries.. Malthouse owned us.
We also had the Cola to help us back then.

I've read alot of the posts since last night's disaster.
I think it is many things.
As someone said ...you I think.
Ever since buddy came we have been snookered. We can't attract depth anymore.
Drafting has to be spot on or we are where we are. How many ex swans are there in other teams that we could have done with in all these disastrous games.
If we had Cola or we were a Collingwood or Geelong we wouldn't have lost half of them. Plus we would be able to attract a Perryman or good players in their prime.
Who did crows have last night...same with Collingwood, Geelong Hawthorn.. you name it. At least half a dozen good imports.
We have got Grundy as our biggest recruit since buddy and that was just the perfect storm.
Software..
Psychological
Injuries
Are all part of it.
Those better in the know say culture and Cox...l don't know.
It's looking like part of it...
I reckon , Kirk , Buchanan, Matthew's, even Cox...and god forbid mentioning McVeigh would all have some idea about what works... ex players text messages. Aren't a few of those in the arena..
It is hard to see anything but negative...and time will tell.
But all the commentary of Coach, ex coach, current players , recruiters , president all being so bad , I don't buy it...yet.
I think for some of the failings of kinnear b I think I understand why he is so for the academies and even took players from there he knew wouldn't probably pan out is for some of the reasons above. If we don't get fed from that we will find it very hard to compete when we hit some big pot holes like now....

Sure, but no player wants to deliberately put the boots into another team after they have won.
It can be used against you in the next game, and brings unwanted attention.

Milera is the last player that would say something against another team like a smart arse.
I would almost guarantee he would be upset with himself for that coming out like it did.
He is just a really nice, decent guy, and certainly wouldn't want to come across as some in the media have portrayed him as.

He has nothing to apologise for, f…. The world needs to harden up a bit.

But that's your opinion that he was putting the boots in. He was simply telling the truth.
If he is feeling upset about his words, it's because he is being told he should be upset with his words. There is a difference here that we shouldn't tolerate.

The whole thing is a media beat up.

What he meant to say was that we were seemed disorganised, which was obvious from watching the game. The media took the word ‘rabble’ out of context to create a bit of a sensationalist story out of nothing.

If a Swans player did this, I'd be furious.

I get that Milera isn't Ginnivan and Nicks isn't Mitchell, so they've apologised and we move on quickly - but if you think anyone at the Crows is "commending" Milera for his honesty, you're kidding yourself.

Get it on Milera, and the Crows apologised immediately - so personally I move on quickly. Whether the Swans players do next time we play, who knows...
