MEXICO CITY (AFP) — Mexican authorities sought to reassure citizens Saturday over a deadly new multi-strain swine flu, as the World Health Organization warned that the virus had "pandemic potential."
The outbreak of the new virus transmitted from human to human that has killed up to 60 people and infected hundreds in Mexico and infected eight in the United States is a "serious situation" with a "pandemic potential", the head of the World Health Organization said Saturday.
In Mexico City, where 13 of 20 confirmed deaths occurred, officials said no deaths from swine flu had been registered on Friday, but reassurances came amid the severest public health measures seen here since a 1985 earthquake.
Meanwhile in the United States, where eight non-fatal infections occurred in Texas and California, reports said that 75 students in New York being treated for flu-like symtoms had recently traveled to Mexico, but no swine flu case was confirmed.
"A new virus is responsible" for the cases reported in Mexico and the United States, WHO Director General Margaret Chan said in a telephone press conference Saturday.
How the situation will evolve is "unpredictable," she said, urging other countries to "increase vigilance".
"This virus has clearly a pandemic potential," Chan added.
Mexican Health Minister Jose Angel Cordova confirmed 20 deaths from swine flu late Friday and said authorities were probing another 48 who had died with similar symptoms.
Health officials have been investigating more than 1,000 possible swine flu infections.
Apart from the capital, four other deaths were in central San Luis Potosi, two in Baja California, in northwest Mexico, and one in Oaxaca, in the southeast.
But Cordova added that it was "an epidemic, not a pandemic."
Mexican President Felipe Calderon said that the government would decree necessary emergency or preventative measures.
Authorities on Friday launched a huge campaign to prevent the spread of the virus, urging people to avoid contact in public.
In Mexico City, schools closed for up to a week, according to the health minister, and numerous public venues, including museums and sports stadia were closed to the public.
Mexico City Mayor Marcelo Ebrard said late Friday that 553 sporting and cultural events had been canceled for at least 10 days to avoid large public gatherings.
The capital did not register any deaths on Friday, Armando Ahued, the local health minister said Saturday.
"The good news is that sick people are reacting adequately to the medication," Ahued said, without giving further details.
Mexico City authorities initially announced a mass vaccination campaign using regular human flu vaccines, but later admitted that the WHO had advised them that it was better to use antiviral medicines, and said they had more than one million doses of suitable drugs.
The CDC website states that there is no vaccine to specifically protect humans from swine flu, only to protect pigs.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said tests show some of the Mexican victims died from the same new strain of swine flu that affected eight people in Texas and California, who later recovered.
The WHO, which was to send a team of experts to Mexico, said Friday that most Mexican cases had occurred in otherwise health young adults.
"Because there are human cases associated with an animal influenza virus, and because of the geographical spread of multiple community outbreaks, plus the somewhat unusual age groups affected, these events are of high concern," the Swiss-based body said in a statement.
Seven other countries on the continent on Friday adopted preventative measures to try to avoid the spread of the virus to their territory.
In Mexico City, medical teams were on stand-by at the international airport, and all passengers had to fill out a health questionnaire.
Human outbreaks of H1N1 swine influenza virus were recorded in the United States in 1976 and 1988, when two deaths were recorded, and in 1986. In 1988 a pregnant woman died after contact with sick pigs, according to the WHO.
In recent years, the global focus for a pandemic has shifted to the H5N1 bird flu virus, which has spread from poultry to humans and killed 257 of the 421 people infected by the virus since 2003.
If a pig is simultaneously infected with a human and an avian influenza virus, it can serve as a "mixing vessel" for the two viruses that could combine to create a new, more virulent strain.

Bit of a worry and just heard it has emerged in New York.

The interesting thing with the bird flu, most governments were stockpiling Tamiflu 9/1 over another drug Relenza, and Tamiflu was proven ineffective.

GSK didn't push Relenza over this period because they were involved in a dispute with the patent holder, Biota, over development and marketing. Without adequate stockpiles you wouldn't want this to start spreading and potentially mutate.

A rare outbreak of human swine flu has killed at least 60 people in Mexico and spread to the United States where authorities are on alert, the World Health Organisation said on Friday.

"To date there have been some 800 suspected cases with flu-like illness, with 57 deaths in the Mexico City area," Chaib added.

Twenty four suspected cases and three deaths were also recorded in San Luis Potosi in central Mexico.

The above comment confirm that the swine H1N1 in southwestern United States (see updated map) is the leading edge of a H1N1 pandemic that appears to be centered in Mexico.

These deaths should increase the pandemic phase to 6.

Dry Rot, I had a look at that site you linked and it doesn't appear to be a reliable site to me, probably best to not use that to cite work.

Not trying to be a smart-arse or anything, just saying, if your going to link to information on topics such as this it's probably best to cite reliable sources such as WHO or CDC.

Not sure about the term "dud Tamiflu", it has been clinically proven to combat various strains of the flu or at least reduce the severity of illness.

Unfortunately, like most drugs, especially those that target pathogens that have the potential to rapidly mutate, they eventually lose their effectiveness. Especially if they are used incorrectly.

The best fight against flu is too wash your hands often and stay away from crowded places. The Flu virus has been clinically proven to survive on surfaces such as doorknobs and benches for hours. IF you touch that surface with your hand the flu virus can attack to your skin, if you put your hand on a mucus membrane (mouth, eyes, nose) you can catch the virus.

All those times the media were beating up SARS and Bird flu viruses and how they would sweep Australia I never listened because I knew it was just Alarmist BS. And nothing happened.

Problem is how quickly it can move.

LONDON (AFP) — A British Airways cabin crew staff member is being treated in a London hospital with "flu-like symptoms" after arriving on a flight from Mexico City, health officials said Saturday.
The news came after the World Health Organization warned that an outbreak of swine flu -- which had killed up to 68 people in Mexico -- had "pandemic potential".
A spokesman for the northwest London hospital where the unnamed man is being treated said he had "flu-like symptoms and is responding well to treatment".
A British Airways spokesman confirmed the cabin crew member had been on flight BA242 from Mexico City to London's main Heathrow airport which landed at 2 pm (1300 GMT) Saturday.
The Health Protection Agency stressed he was undergoing tests "as a precautionary measure," adding there are no confirmed cases of human swine flu in Britain or Europe.

Yep. Its a real concern to me in the Health Industry. We already had a staff ember hospitalised last week with a nasty viral infection. Sounds eerily like this, except she had a massive headache as well as the other symptons listed for this.
 
You may well say, "swine flu", but I'd say, "pigs might fly".

In another, almost related matter, a footy commentator was heard on the weekend referring to a Sydney Swans player as, "bird on the wing" - a reference to Craig Bird and the position on the ground in which he found himself. Completely unintentional, but unforgivable.

As for the flu thing, it once again shows we humans have everything completely under control. There are no surprises and fewer imponderables.

Here we go, anytime someone has a fever or a cough they have the swine flu.

People get hosptalised quite regularly for viral infections, it doesn't mean they have got the swine flu.

You see, before Swine Flu takes it's vicitms life it mutates them into a horrible creature that not even God himself could have mercy on....

Prepare to die; it's been planned and has begun
You and your family are about to be killed. Prepare yourselves. It has all been pre-planned and the plan has now begun.

Every once in awhile, those of us who watch the big picture and report to you that government is planning something REALLY bad, are vindicated. Such is the case right now.

In October, 2007, the sub-prime mortgage crisis hit. Millions of illegal aliens and others who had lied about their ability to repay loans had defaulted and those defaults were taking out the banks.

Credit dried up, a number of banks failed. The economy began to tank and companies started taking losses and laying off workers. There were storm clouds on the financial horizon and everyone knew it.

What few considered was that our government is already saddled with so much debt they cannot hope to afford another Great Depression. They don't have the funds to pay unemployment, welfare, food stamps, free medical care through medicaid and and they have zero chance of borrowing the money to provide it. So, the decision has been made to "cull the herd."

They have no choice but to kill off a whole slew of "useless eaters, most of whom live in our major cities. They know that unless they kill them off, there will be so much social chaos that the government will fall or be overthrown and they definitely don't want that to happen.

They laid the groundwork already. Want proof?

Last year, the government started running commercials TELLING YOU a flu pandemic was coming. Commercials just like this:

Your Coffins Were Ordered

In January, 2008, news broke that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) had ordered one million plastic burial vaults that can hold 6 bodies each, and that an Alabama company had begun manufacturing them. Folks laughed at guys like me when we reported such news. They called us "conspiracy nuts."

About six or seven months later, in July, 2008 news broke about 500,000 "burial vaults" sitting in an open field in Georgia. Folks heard about them HERE and got to see them via Google Satellite maps like this: (use the + inside the image to zoom-in)

Still unconvinced, the skeptical then got to see actual video of the coffins as shown below:


We who were previously derided as Conspiracy Nuts were again berated as "wearing tin foil hats" worried about something that was "probably nothing worse than our government preparing for a disaster." Yea. Right.

Many of us knew something was up and whatever it was meant a lot of dead people.

Model Emergency Health Powers Act (MEHPA)

A meeting of the Center for Law and the Public Health (CLPH) was convened on Oct. 5. This group is run jointly by Georgetown University Law School and Johns Hopkins Medical School, and was founded under the auspices of the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The purpose of the October meeting was to draft legislation to respond to a bioterrorism threat.



After working only 18 days, on Nov. 23 CLPH released a 40-page document called the Model Emergency Health Powers Act (MEHPA). This was a "model" law that HHS is suggesting be enacted by the 50 states to handle future public health emergencies such as bioterrorism. A revised version was released on Dec. 21 containing more specific definitions of "public health emergency" as it pertains to bioterrorism and biologic agents, and includes language for those states that want to use the act for chemical, nuclear or natural disasters.



According to the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), after declaring a "public health emergency", and without consulting with public health authorities, law enforcement, the legislature or courts, a state governor using MEHPA, or anyone he/she decides to empower, can among many things:



· Require any individual to be vaccinated. Refusal constitutes a crime and will result in quarantine. · Require any individual to undergo specific medical treatment. Refusal constitutes a crime and will result in quarantine. · Seize any property, including real estate, food, medicine, fuel or clothing, an official thinks necessary to handle the emergency. · Seize and destroy any property alleged to be hazardous. There will be no compensation or recourse. · Draft you or your business into state service. · Impose rationing, price controls, quotas and transportation controls. · Suspend any state law, regulation or rule that is thought to interfere with handling the declared emergency.



As of this writing the law has been passed in Kentucky. Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, DC. and Wisconsin. That's 28 states at minimum and does not include states which may have enacted it, but CALLED it something else.


Microbiologists suddenly start dying

In the four-month period from Nov. 12 through Feb. 11, seven world-class microbiologists in different parts of the world were reported dead. Six died of "unnatural" causes, while the cause of the seventh's death is questionable. Also on Nov. 12, DynCorp, a major government contractor for data processing, military operations and intelligence work, was awarded a $322 million contract to develop, produce and store vaccines for the Department of Defense. DynCorp and Hadron, both defense contractors connected to classified research programs on communicable diseases, have also been linked to a software program known as PROMIS, which may have helped identify and target the victims.

In the six weeks prior to Nov. 12, two additional foreign microbiologists were reported dead. Some believe there were as many as five more microbiologists killed during the period, bringing the total as high as 14. These two to seven additional deaths, however, are not the focus of this story. This same period also saw the deaths of three persons involved in medical research or public health.

· On Nov. 12, Benito Que, 52, was found comatose in the street near the laboratory where he worked at the University of Miami Medical School. He died on Dec. 6.

· On Nov. 16, Don C. Wiley, 57, vanished, and his abandoned rental car was found on the Hernando de Soto Bridge outside Memphis, Tenn. His body was found on Dec. 20.

· On Nov. 23, Vladimir Pasechnik, 64, was found dead in Wiltshire, England, not far from his home.

· On Dec. 10, Robert Schwartz, 57, was found murdered in his rural home in Loudoun County, Va.

· On Dec, 11, Set Van Nguyen, 44, was found dead in the airlock entrance to a walk-in refrigerator in the laboratory where he worked in Victoria State, Australia.

· On Feb. 8, Vladimir Korshunov, 56, was found dead on a Moscow street.

· And on Feb. 11, Ian Langford, 40, was found dead in his home in Norwich, England.

Prior to these deaths, on Oct. 4, a commercial jetliner traveling from Israel to Novosibirsk, Siberia was shot down over the Black Sea by an "errant" Ukrainian surface-to-air missile, killing all on board. The missile was over 100 miles off-course. Despite early news stories reporting it as a charter, the flight, Air Sibir 1812, was a regularly scheduled flight.

According to several press reports, including a Dec. 5 article by Barry Chamish and one on Jan. 13 by Jim Rarey (both available at www.rense.com), the plane is believed by many in Israel to have had as many as five passengers who were microbiologists. Both Israel and Novosibirsk are homes for cutting-edge microbiological research. Novosibirsk is known as the scientific capital of Siberia, and home to over 50 research facilities and 13 full universities for a population of only 2.5 million people.

At the time of the Black Sea crash, Israeli journalists had been sounding the alarm that two Israeli microbiologists had been recently murdered, allegedly by terrorists. On Nov. 24 a Swissair flight from Berlin to Zurich crashed on its landing approach. Of the 33 persons on board, 24 were killed, including the head of the hematology department at Israel's Ichilov Hospital, as well as directors of the Tel Aviv Public Health Department and Hebrew University School of Medicine. They were the only Israelis on the flight. The names of those killed, as reported in a subsequent Israeli news story but not matched to their job titles, were Avishai Berkman, Amiramp Eldor and Yaacov Matzner.

Besides all being microbiologists, six of the seven scientists who died within weeks of each other died from "unnatural" causes. Four of the seven were doing virtually identical research -- research that has global, political and financial significance. All of these men were at the absolute top of their respective field and would be the exact persons needed to battle a new bio-weapon spreading planet-wide. They are now all dead by unnatural causes.


FEMA tells counties, "prepare"

In December, 2008, a county official in northwestern Indiana revealed (during a radio show Here) that During the legally mandated meetings held with FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), different disaster scenarios were reveled to county officials:

They were told if industry were to collapse, for example GM going bankrupt (what a coincidence) resulting in mass unemployment, a depression would soon follow and municipalities could expect to loose 40% of their funds.
Every county in the nation would be required to prepare a "Hazard Mitigation Plan."
The county should prepare a plan to vaccinate the entire population within 48 hours and practice the plan several times. (Gee, now why would they say this last December? Maybe because they knew what was planned.)
FEMA inquired to where mass graves could be placed in the county and would they accept bodies from elsewhere.
The sheriff’s department via the state sheriff association was told that no .223 ammunition rounds would be available as the military would be purchasing all stocks.
The county was asked to make plans for “hardening” of police and fire stations, putting in hardened bunker type buildings around town.
The county was asked to make plans for the possibility of up to 400,000 refugees from Chicago.
The super wealthy were told what was planned!

In February, 2009 something really odd and very ominous broke in the news: Panasonic Corporation issued orders to all its top executives outside of Japan to sell their homes and make certain they moved themselves and their families back to Japan not later than the end of September, 2009.

The story was reported by Bloomberg Business news specifically mentions Panasonic feared the outbreak of "new flu strains." (HERE)

Many of us wondered how the hell Panasonic could know about new flu outbreaks to occur 6 months later?

Cemeteries begin digging mass graves

In March, 2009, news broke in several areas of the USA revealing government cemeteries - many of them military - had suddenly begun preparing mass graves. Acres and acres of mass graves, complete with cement vaults designed to hold multiple plastic coffins and accommodate hundreds of thousands of dead in each cemetery.

Again, the nay-Sayers laughed. . . . . until we got pictures and video of one mass grave being built (Below)

On April 13, 2009, just three days before Barak Obama's official state visit, a "flu outbreak" struck Mexico City with a vengeance. The first case was seen in Mexico on April 13. The outbreak coincided with the President Barack Obama's trip to Mexico City on April 16. Obama was received at Mexico’s anthropology museum in Mexico City by Felipe Solis, a distinguished archeologist. . . . . who died the following day from symptoms similar to flu.

Bio-Weapon!

On April 22, CNN reported that viruses from the U.S. Army Bioweapons Lab at Fort Detrick, MD had gone missing. What type of viruses? Flu!

Johns-Hopkins Doctor says Flu is MAN MADE!

From CDC via Wikipedia: Anne Schuchat, director of CDC's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, said that the American cases were found to be made up of genetic elements from four different flu viruses -- North American swine influenza, North American avian influenza, human influenza A virus subtype H1N1, and swine influenza virus typically found in Asia and Europe.

In a discussion this morning with a cell biologist and medical doctor working at Johns Hopkins, they said they thought this new, 4-part flu combination is highly unusual and looks like it could be man-made. Especially because it has an avian strain.

My doctor friend (he's Taiwanese) explained that in Asia, it's common for a avian-swine-human flu to happen naturally, but this virus first showed up in Mexico, where pigs and ducks are not usually raised together.

Also, recombination of more than 2-different flu viruses is extremely rare. I'm just repeating what he said as an expert in the field. He says the CDC needs to explain if there is a possibility that we are under a bio-weapon attack.

By late night on April 22 the trouble in Mexico had grown. 1,000 flu cases had been reported in Mexico City and 60 people had already died. That's a 6% mortality rate. Remember that number: SIX PERCENT.

Mexico gets worse; US gets hit on 2 coasts

By April 23, the outbreak had infected up to 2300 people in Mexico City, had spread to Los Angeles and, in a dramatic turn of events, 75 school kids in a New York City Catholic Prep School, 2500 miles away from Los Angeles, suddenly took ill with flu-like symptoms.

CDC has now confirmed 20 of those school kids have the new flu!

Financials getting much worse

Back to matters financial, in the last few months, the financial condition of the country and the world has collapsed. Over the course of the last year, the super rich have literally robbed billions of dollars and pretty much gotten away with it. Bear Stearns is dead. Lehman Brothers is dead. Merrill Lynch was sold to Bank of America (BofA) and now we hear the US Treasury Secretary extorted BofA into that deal and ordered BofA executives to conceal to shareholders they would be ripped off covering billions in Merrill Lynch losses. Almost none of these powerful people is being prosecuted and now. . . . . . . . . "the flu" is going to take out a whole slew of us "common people."

No ammunition to fight them

Of course, they knew figured if any of us connected the dots and realized we've been attacked by bio-weapons, we might get uppity about it. That's probably why, for the last 9 months, there has strangely been a shortage of ammunition. Without bullets who can fight back?

Noah's Ark of sorts

Over the past few years, many of you wondered aloud why our government was quietly bringing in savages from places like Somalia into our advanced civilization. The issue reared its head when "Somali lost boys" r*ped women in the cities where they had been resettled.

Next, hordes of Hmong were being brought into the middle of our nation. This broke news when a Hmong murdered 6 US Hunters in Wisconsin.

Of course, the Chinese have been coming in droves and the Mexicans and South Americans have swarmed while our government looked the other way.

They want the USA and other advanced majority-White nations to be a like little "Noah's Arks" because they know the home countries of these savages will be totally wiped out by their plans.

This will be Genocide on a scale never before seen or imagined by sane people; but just a book keeping entry for the insurance companies and bankers.

Mortality Rate
Earlier, I asked you to bear in mind the initial mortality rate of this new flu: 6%.

The worst flu pandemic to strike the planet took place from 1918-1920 and it was known as "The Spanish Flu." It killed a minimum of 20 million, but probably (according to Wikipedia) 100 million (See Wikipedia story here) It's mortality rate was two point five percent (2.5%) This new flu has already shown at least a six percent death rate.

Our planet has abut 6 billion people on it. If 50% of the planet gets this new flu as happened with the 1918-1920 outbreak, that translates into 3 Billion infected this time. 6% of 3 billion is at least 180 Million dead in the civilized nations of the world, and five times that number in the other parts of the planet. That could total about one billion dead.

This series of events was no coincidence and it was no accident. It was carefully planned for years and perfectly executed except for one tiny detail: I just figured it out.

Recapping

FEMA ordered caskets over a year ago. DHS and FEMA began telling counties to plan for mass graves months ago. Panasonic knew that new strains of flu would strike and ordered their top people home. The military has been buying up all the ammunition. The bankers and stock guys have brazenly robbed as much as they can as fast as they can. The government admits flu virus was "lost" from its bio-weapons lab and the world is suddenly seeing an outbreak of a new, highly contagious and very deadly flu. Johns-Hopkins Docs say a 4 part flu is very unusual and may be man made.

Guess what folks? The only item left to be done is for a whole slew of us little folks to die.

This was a plot by our own government and the super rich to literally kill us. We cannot let them get away with it.



There are two ways to stop them:
