What is the point of tighter controls on AFL players anyway? Apart from politics - not seeing the risk being any different than the rest of the population in QLD, SA and WA.
Because covid can eat you in your sleep and dumb dumb qld wa people believe that

Especially Cavill Ave. I use to work overnight in that strip and it was feral. Blood and fights all over the place. Drunks always looking for fights.

as a female it use to scare me but I soon became immune and it became the norm.

Nasty place. the players are lucky they weren’t more seriously hurt.

went there one night with my brother for a beer on a sat night While back , and we were staying in Broadbeach , the place was like a war zone .

Richmond should make Dan Andrews foot the bill.
If he didn't **** up the hotel quarantine in Melbourne the boys wouldn't be in a Qeunsland hub to begin with.

**** You Dan Andrews.

Can someone tell me from that footage. Looks like the bloke is no match for Stack after picking on a timid CCJ (with due respect)

The only good coming out of this is all the sanctimonious posters from other clubs on the main board, one WB poster wanting the afl to ban strip clubs for all players. Need another thread to collate and collect nuffy posts!

One thing I noticed we have some utter hopeless and garbage journos in this country not only in sport in all aspects. Its like bush league stuff dreadfull copy and paste , no reserch or facts etc. This guys wouldn't even be fit to tier real journos shoe laces.

Back in the good ol days.

No CCTV, and the original beer garden was the greatest in Australia.

Go to Champaign Charlies or the Terace for a stripshow you didn't have to pay for, then 6am fingers at Charlie's before passing out on the beach.

[Edit, it was before my day. That pic was 1972, I lived there '81-'86]

So when these two come back from the hub are we gonna sentence them to death or do a public stoning ?

The boys did the wrong thing, so they cop the punishment and move on. I think it is a little harsh, but probably justified. I don’t agree with them being made to pay out of their own pockets.

Some of the outrage is over the top. Calling for them to be sacked etc, give me a break.

20 & 21yo, a few bevvies at a sanctioned event and then made a bad decision to go out. You cant put an old head on young shoulders. I wont throw stones at them from my glass house.

It was hardly a brawl, they didn’t start it (from what i can tell), and they didn’t kick the bejeezus out of the guy either.
Strippers, drinking, out late, getting into a scuffle... makes good headlines but lets not overreact. Dumb in the situation, but weren’t they effectively on leave (few days off). I know they broke the AFL hub rules, and the punishment and publicity is a big price to pay for the young blokes. Take the punishment and learn from it hopefully.

Like Ross Lyon says, challenge the behaviour but support the person. I think the club needs to get around them (metaphorically) and support the boys from here.

I hope they are Ok and come through this better for the experience.

fu** You Dan Andrews.
And if a bat didn’t try to f**k a pangolin and create a Covid-infested batgolin that refused to wear a face mask and practice social isolation, we wouldn’t have to be in the Queensland hub in the first place as well.
F**k you batgolin!

Club need to get on the front foot and put a stop to this behaviour not only today in general like Gale send happen to often this year.

two young blokes getting up to no good. yes they are dumb, but at their age I got up to some stupid sh*t too. they will pay the price for this, a pretty harsh one in terms of both suspension and pay packet hit. deserved penalty too. this has been the year of the wake up call for stack. hope this adventure rams home in his head that AFL footy is not a gift, it's something you have to fight for and earn and it can be over in a second. no doubt stack and CCJ will bounce back. in the scheme of things they were fringe players to our best 22 so shouldn't impact our chances this year, and should hopefullyprovide the kick in the pants that will jolt these 2 to reaching the next level .

an unfortunate distraction in a shit year off field so hopethis doesn't derail us too much. to be fair to the players, this year has been tough on everyone but doesn't excuse the complete idiocy in what they did

Sounds like a fanboi trying to deflect away from the two idiots.
FFS mate they are adults.
Balmey wouldn’t have kept them in hub.
Bribes, haymakers...seriously
Rubbish , there’s a reason the ****en clubs fined 100k coz the AFL say it’s our responsibility to which point we ve failed . Let’s see a piss up to celebrate a 21st , what steps were put in place to ensure no one kicked on . Your comments are bs under the circumstances, we need a comprehensive review

They did a small silly thing - some dill attacked them = End of World.

If they went to the strippers then they are genuinely stupid, not silly.

Oh well. They aren't vital to our premiership chances. Hopefully this will galvanise the team more than cause problems. Everyone against us, band together and show them whose boss.
