In a game where we were dysfunctional and rusty for the vast majority of it you find a way to drag the youngest kid in the team. Was Florent great, no. But he was hardly disappointing. Did you expect him to tear the game apart in difficult conditions when most of his team mates were also playing pretty poorly?
You will never give him a chance unless he becomes better than Tom Mitchell
Can we just talk about West Coast supporters for a minute? What absolute shit-stains, embarrassment to the competitions. If Freo should be booted from the competition for being useless as a club, then West Coast should be for having the worst members ever. I’ve sat through a lot of Collingwood games both at the MCG and elsewhere (my best mate is a Pies fan) and I can comprehensively say West Coast supporters make Magpies members look like ******* Harvard graduates.
Most Eagles members are dumb, don’t understand (or care) that footy is a sport where there are TWO teams. Which means yes, the other team will get frees, the other team are capable of playing well, and the other team are allowed to do the basic fundamentals of footy such as tackle an opponent. They don’t know how to be gracious in victory - that was already established - but they also don’t know how to be gracious in defeat.
They can’t envision a world where they would lose a game for any reasons other than: a) the umpires killing them, b) their injuries killing them, c) their fixture being too hard, or d) their own players being so useless that they actually make references to killing them.
Absolute pigs the lot of them and I hope they spend the next decade being a basket case a la Melbourne. Teach their supporters some humility.
We were outplayed by Geelong sure but not intimidated.Few years ago??? It was last year haha.

Very similar to the carlton game last year...hes literally lebron. He chooses any given day to kick goals and he is unbeatable. He played with a mind set to score first last night and look what happened. People keep talking about wce were undermanned.. they were literally missing kennedy from their best 22.How good was the big bud given an open paddock though? Great to watch.
20 and 8 last night...20 and 8! ...someone like kennedy is a great full forward but thats it....buddy has proven he can play that role but he can generate his own scores like no one i have seen before. He will finally win a b and f this year im predicting. That pick up and snap off the deck where he wasn't even looking at goal was ridiculous, and he knew it was never going to miss. Phenomenal athlete.

Imagine the is buddy worth it argument if he b and fs in a premiership year

That was a failure as a team more so than any individual. No one says that he wasn't worth it anymore.Surely no one is ridiculous enough to still try and argue he wasn't worth it. He never had to win us a flag to prove his worth.
Nice melt.
I am not a pig, I may be an eagles supporter, a communist, a pig but I am not a pr0n star.Get out of here you pig.
Geelong in Rnd 3 . Will have the Popcorn ready for the gameday thread.Would hate to be the team that plays them on their home deck next time, the square up by the umps will be ugly.
I intend to boo you until my throat is soreNice melt.
I intend to accept it as a sign of love.I intend to boo you until my throat is sore
- Speaking of digging deep. The Swans winning if the opposition kicks >= 70 pts doesn't happen often. So good stuff.
Yes if you don’t win enough of the ball it’s hard to score and in turn win a game. When we face a team with a midfield that can match ours and get smashed in the clearances and stoppages like we did last night we're going to struggle.
A lot of people on here talking about Aliir returning as if a place in the team is a given.Take the 4 points away from home and onto next week really.
Should be plenty of room for improvement with Hanners, Aliir and Reid to come back in.
He got the ball 6 times playing in the midfield. I think he'll be good but he was disappointing yesterday. He still needs to be fitter and stronger.
We definately started last season shithouse, as we are all aware of. But to label all our season starts as shit, you really need to back up this claim! We normally start the season shithouse so not sure anyone can be disapointed with a gutsy win in Perth.
