I cant see logistically how it can be done at our crowds. It would have to be all or nothing.
Stupid idea. It's almost impossible to knit and drink a beer at the sametime anyway.

Just get smashed before the game. It's not like they don't let drunks in.
At my absolute most intoxicated, I'd still far more coherent than the average sober Port fan. Just hide your crows scarf and bring in a port power keyring or something, so when the redcoats ask if you're drunk, just flash the merchandise and they'll instantly apologise and let you through.
And lots of us consider a footy game to be the time and place.wowser no. 2
I find it difficult to comprehend the absolute desperate need to drink beer whilst watching the footy. Slamming down beers in the breaksI don't get it sorry. Good luck to those if it comes in, but better not spoil my game (gotta feeling it will). I can drink with the best of them, just know the time and place I guess.

Ive got the feeling those that 'dont want their game spoiled' also dont want little annoyances like other fans cheering to ruin their football experience.
Its a footy match, theres no better time or place to be on the piss.
And there are bars and areas to drink
My annoyance is that I dont want to be standing up twice a quarter as people walk by
But hey thanks for the generalisation![]()
Should we ban people going to the pisser as well?
If they get on the juice then they would go twice as much![]()
It is harder to get pissed when you drink at your seat. The way we have it, it actually promotes binge drinking.Fair call.
People are still on the piss though. Im not convinced that id drink more if i were allowed to drink at my seat. The only difference is, if i go for a beer at the quarter time break, i can bring it back to my seat and drink it in a responsible manner, instead of being forced to skull in order to not miss the start of the next quarter.
There's no need to have alcohol at your seats.
If you can't wait 25-30 minutes for a drink then I strongly suggest AA.

Some people enjoy having a beer while watching the footy, it has nothing to do with being an alcoholic you ignorant fool.
And there in lies the problem. Some can't enjoy themselves without being total clowns and spoil it for the rest who don't do anything wrong.
Before they clamped down on it there was some very bad scenes, and as the club wishes it to become a family type environment then the rest suffer.
I have mine before and after the game and enjoy the contest in between.
