I have a feeling we will get Mitch Brown and are looking at Eric McKenzie (spelling).

Still not great.

Either would be a good temporary result and would cover our losses, being equivalent to N Brown whilst Keeffe is an upgrade on Frost . It only leaves Marsh not replaced and we can hopefully do that via the draft. Considering hes only 20 and not established yet we arent that far behind the pace in replacing him. Hopefully he has a change of heart and stays.

Bucks would want to find some backs ASAP as he is likely to not be here in 2018 if we don't make finals.

Still have Goldsack who can play tall/small as will Scharenberg when he comes back. Will probably look at someone like Jack Grimes and/or Mitch Brown. I think Marsh will stay now as it probably came down to $$$ more so then family considering his brother is at the Swans. But who knows they might be making a play for a quality defender that we are not currently aware of potentially a Hugh Goddard now that Brown and Carlyle are there and Dempster has re-signed.

Bucks might want to , too bad he is not in charge of that.

Goldsack? Has he ever got through a whole season without being injured? Why is that all of a sudden changing?

Doesn't Keeffe have a drug problem? Why would he be good to go?

I don't know if he has or hasn't. Don't know him personally.

I would like to hope that he learned his lesson if not then he is a lost cause.

At this stage we are going into 2017 with only Reid and Keeffe. Obviously if Reid is fit all year then then that will help but as he is so injury prone I wouldn't count on it.

We will need something from Keeffe so my point was that I hope he can at least hold his own for some parts of the year not expecting him to be the AA full back.

I'm interested to see what we have in the works here. The potential to lose all of Brown, Frost and Marsh puts us in a really precarious position. I can't say I'm thrilled at that prospect and I can't imagine this was in the plans for the club. But looking at the positives, there is opportunity in all of this. If we bring in a full back who can switch the ball effectively then we have something we didn't last year and something that will suit our style of footy.

recon they club considered this might happen and they haven't blinked letting brown go. mobile defences are today's game lets see what unfolds.

Say we get 10 games from Reid and say 14 from Keeffe. What's the backline going to look like without them in it? For what it's worth I have never rated Keeffe I can not believe we are going in to 2017 relying on him to stand up each week.

The trade period isn't over yet.

I think the smaller line up can work against the majority of teams. But the Crows and GWS play 3 talls in their fwd line. I can see us getting pumped by those teams unless we smash them in the midfield.

Only Real KPD we have no With Brown Gone and Frost and Marsh asking to be Traded is Keeffe.

Then only other Player we have that could go back in a Pinch is White.

Can play KPD but I think he best use as the Intercepter Marker who can Rebound.

Then have Rest of Backline:
Well you have Ramsey and Schranberg and Langdon coming back from ACL's.

Sinclair has had Concuisson Problems.

Keeffe been off 2 Years for being a Drug Cheat

Smith in his 2nd Season.

Goldsack has had Injury Problems.

Does not Feel me with Confidence

Will Worry as we have to get a AFL KPD in the next 4 Days when Trade Period Finishes

How many games did Reid play this year?

How many teams in the comp can you honestly say have a worse defence than us at the moment?

Carlton.. Gold Coast... then it gets really tough.

We are still mid trade week so happy to see how it pans out. It's also prudent to point out that nobody expected Hambling to be a premiership player this season . Most people had never heard of him at the start of the year!

I agree somewhat I thought he had potential but who knows what to expect in 2017 as he hasn't played for so long.

Can't imagine he would have improved sitting on the sidelines.

Hopefully Reid can stand up for at least 16 to 18 games.

So at this stage our back line looks pretty f'ed.
