Surely he can't be throwing it in.

I pray this is all crap

Why? His not the greatest player in the world and he isnt exactly in your best 22.

Surely he couldn't walk away now. Where is the rumour coming from CameronK?

On another note, does anyone know anything about Luke Webster? There's a post on DL saying that he may have done another ACL. :(:thumbsd::(

Well I beleive in the power of redemption and never say die.
It takes courage to get into the ring...
He could turn it around and play very well well for us.
If he dosent then he dosent...
He needs to do something...

So where did you hear this rumour????

To be quite frank I wouldn't lose sleep if he went.

The trade has been another disaster, Tarrant has done nothing to warrant being a high profile player at this club to date.

If he quits without costing our Club financially then good luck to him.

PS.
I reckon we could easily cover for him.

I caught wind of it today and took is as gossip at thee ground but had someone who is normally pretty good with these things tell me the exact same thing.

Trust me, I hope more than anyone its crap.

I still think Taz is very important for us

If it's true then the guy is a grade A tosser. Come over here and give us one season before throwing in the towel. Pathetic!!! if I was Solly, I would be having a word to him abotu how to go about this whole footy thing and how close he was to not even playign football EVER. would rival the whole croad thing if true:mad:

I think he can have a real role with us as well.

Some people are a bit quick to hit our players when they are down. I don't think he'll quit. I think its time for him to make a stand and hopefully that is what any statement would be about.

WTF is going on???????????? Almost everyone agreed that he was good last year. Now after two shit games people are saying that they wouldn't mind if he pulled the pin.

he was great last year, good pressure and excellent skills. Get him back on the bandwagon quick smart!

What was the reason given by the club for Tarrant's omission? Also, what is wrong with McPahrlin?

Back injury for Taz (think he may have had a cortisone injection yesterday and didn't come up for today), McPharlin has a bruised hip, think they said he'd be ok for next week.

Agreed dom. I'm not quite sure how it could be a positive to have a player pull the pin 3 weeks into the season, especially given we are already one down (Hasleby) and potentially two, if Webster is injured. You can't really blame the guy if he does walk though, he's not exactly had much support since he arrived.

And Ibbo had an infected grass burn that hadn't healed in time.

Apparently if the game was tomorrow he would probably have been right.

I'm sure it's probably legit, but when I first heard Ibbo had pulled out with such an unusual injury I straight away thought of the famous Windy Hill flu.

does anyone the length of the contract he signed ?? Hate to see him pull the pin two bad games dont make a season but it doesnt make it easy to be selected either

be upset if he pulled the pin but i very much doubt he will. despite what people say about him i think any player at afl standard has pride in their performance and i'm sure he's doing everything possible to get back close to his best. looking forward to seeing him return next week and hopefully running into some form against a weak richmond side :thumbsu:

This is interesting - not sure if the question was in relation to the media getting a whiff of this, or just the general carp that they have created themselves

Harvey said Tarrant, McPharlin and Ibbotson would all be available for selection next week along with Dean Solomon (suspension) and a number of players impressing in the WAFL.

He scoffed at a suggestion that Tarrant’s absence may have been due to trouble at the club.

“He’s not disgruntled at all,” Harvey said. “He had an injection to relieve pain out of his back yesterday and even as early as this morning he was with our physio getting manipulated. In the end he couldn’t move enough to play.”

Cameron_K, I know you're not one to post something like this without very good reason, but I really hope it's not something that has been put out in the public by someone with an agenda against either the club or the player in an effort to put even more pressure on all concerned.

Hopefully Taz is back out there fit and firing against Richmond next week.

did anyone see the 5th quarter after the essendon carlton match?

they showed a small snippet from harvs press conference and he hinted that tarrant would speak to the media during the week

he didnt say why

Let me get it straight, I was not told Tarrant would be throwing it in. All I was told was he would be releasing a statement this week about his future.

Obviously it may make more sense now based on what pinkus just posted.

Tarrant is very important to this club, lets hope he proves a lot of people wrong in the not to distant future
