I think that's a pretty good change.

Mackenzie has shown enough to suggest he will be a part of the club's future. We still need to know about some of the others, including Wilkes and Schofield. I'll be spewing if Schofield gets cut at the end of the year, especially if he isn't given much of a chance to prove himself.

Whenever I've seen Claremont on tele, which seems to be every week for some reason, Wilkes has been a marking machine. Good luck to him, his WAFL forms certainly warrants selection

P.S. I didn't think I'd be saying this, at the beginning of the year, but I like our set-up on the wings with Rosa and Houlihan.

Good on ya Wilkes, WAFL form did warrent selection and v the Dogs I can see why McKenzie wouldnt of been a good option. At the moment he is more of a stopper on a tall defender, the Bullies dont have many Brown/Riewoldt/Franklin types like that. Wilkes adds a bit more run and can play a bit smaller IMO.

Most of all though it gives him a chance to prove that he can cut it and hold onto his spot on the senior list.

I would have thought they would have brought in an extra small for the WB.

Anyone know who the travelling emergency is?

when i thought woosh ahd it all sorted out wiht his tall to small ratio he goes and brings in another tall for a team that has next to no tall forwards, wtf???? i mean i dont even think welsh is playing..
whetehr or not his selection was warranted or not, spending the game on the pine iasnt gonna help anyone.

That would be a disgrace. I'm no Fletcher fan, but the bloke is a former AA and premiership player and deserves a proper send off.

yeah agree should defently get a home game send off he was a great player in the early 2000's and in a premiership year.

Good to see wilkes get a shot iam not a big fan of him but he deserves a ahot with his recent good form in the WAFL.

I hope Wilkes plays well. I thought he did well last year and at one point, he was at 100% disposal effeciency after a few games.

Or just the fact he has a thigh injury and cant play?

Unbelievable.

Mackenzie is injured. That said, Mackenzie is faster and more agile than Wilkes.

Wilkes provides zero rebound.

Wilkes has plaued exclusively on talls apart from a couple of pantsings when he has a crack at O'Loughlin and similar.

Wilkes' form has generally been poorer in the WAFL the last few games AND much of the last 7 or 8 games has been as a forward.

He is a crab, a depth player, a good WAFL player. A baffling selection.

Wilkes was very good last year when he played consistently.
I dont know what all the hate is for.

McKenzie has shown he can hold down a key position,
the jury is still out for me whether schofield, spangher and bones are in our best 22 players to play on the other HBF.

I liked the composure and the efficiency of Wilkes last year though,
deserves another chance.
